According to rahmanonline.com, RNJBond is correct:

Allah Rakha Rahman was born A.S.Dileep Kumar on the 6th of January in the year 1966, in Madras, to a musically affluent family.

According to my source(which is from Times Of India), Rahman was born with something similar name as you mentioned DragunR2, but not quite exactly, my source says it was Dileep Shekhar and also that he was born in 1967 and not 1966.

The "S" in A.S. Dileep Kumar probably stands for Sekhar. In Tamil Nadu, the father's name is usually the second initial in a person's name, the first being the place where the person was born. That is, if there are two initials. Some have just one.

I'm surprised that Sunny Audit hasn't given these questions a shot yet, where is he?

By the time I read these all had guessed.

But here are some more questions about Rahman for die hard fans only...

1) What are the names of the ring tones Rahman recently composed for Airtel Mobile?

2) Which Indian film director's has used Rahman to solely score for all of their films?

3) What was the name of the film that featured Rahman singing debut.

4) What is Rahman highest selling soundtrack album ever?

Ooh, lemme take a shot at this:
1) I remember "Live Every Moment" was featured in the ads.
2) Shankar (are you asking for more than one?)
3. Bombay (actual main singing) with "Antha Arabic"
4. I believe it's Taal.

Didn't he sing some background vocals in Chhoti Si Aasha (Chinna Chinna Aasai in Tamil) in Roja? That's not main singing, though.

Yes, you're right about that (as far as I know)... the question is a bit unclear though.

The question is simply:

What was the name of the film that featured Rahman singing debut?

This means his first ever song which he sung in - what film was it?

First one with Rahman on lead vocals was Urvashi in Kaadhalan (1994).
