Did any one notice, Bend it Like Beckham R2 DVD has received the highest zulmi rating ever, making it #1. This R2 DVD will be my choice as I am sure, R1 DVD will be converted from this PAL DVD to NTSC like ASOKA. I don't know about the movie, I may or may not like it, but this R2 DVD deserves to be in our prized collection.

Thanks for correcting me, Ali.

Any idea if both these R2 DVDs are 4% speed shifted. If they are, then I want to verify my speculation that 4% speed shifted Film to PAL DVDs don't give combing in Power DVD Force Weave mode. Prog/ Interlace is irrelevant.

Just watched the R 2 dvd of Bend it like Beckham on my new CH DVD 500 player . Great movie and the dvd transfer is great.

Definitely one for the collection.

So how many of you out there have multi regional players which also do PAL to NTSC conversion players?

I live in the Uk, and have only just got around to seeing it. I was reluctant @ first, this being an asain/british movie about Beckham/Football or so I thought.

After watching it, I found myself enjoying every minute of it. It may be a bit melodramatic in some place and over the top but it caught me in the right mood.

Both leads work well together (But have to point out that not every Londoner speaks with the saying "Yeah Man" & "Innit").The soundtrack is a great mix of hindi and English tracks. Check out the commentary if you can.

Anupam Kher is great in his first English role and has been lined up to star along side Aishwarya Rai in Gurinder Chadha's next film.

But problems are a stirring with Gurinder being quoted as saying she can & will teach Bollywood how to make films!.

Just one question, are zulmis in america importing the Region 2 disk or going to watch it in the cinema and what kind of reaction is it getting in the states.

(East is East was a better British Asain film IMHO)

I would like to compliment Parminder Nagra , whose acting/presence, I enjoyed more than KAJOL's in DDLJ!

She was VERY NATURAL and LIKEABLE..
