all i have is direct confirmation that devdas dvd will be released this friday the 18th.

I am tempted to think that it ill release sometime btw. the 18th and the 22nd b/c Indiaweekly has pushed back the release from 25th to 22nd! Oh please let it be this Friday!

is the wait over will it really come out on fri 18th ???
even if it does by the time it reaches the shops u could well be into the following week !!!

will this thread ever end once it out there will be the screenshots and of course whats good/bad about the dvd ???

will EROS find that for once this forum is actually happy with the quality of this dvd???

i expect that we will still be posting replys to this thread well into next year !!!

Confirmed by Afzal @ IW that it will be releasing on Oct 18th, (Friday)... May be priced @ US$ 21.99 :O but thats not the point here. I know there are some fanatics here who want this DVD like hell... So here is the deal :-

If you happen to buy this dvd from IW or anywhere else (like being the first BAKRA - I dont think Bakris will volunteer for this dvd :D anyways .. unless Kareena wishes to pitch in :) )
Then please post some screenshots....

If you cant post screenshots the at least take the screenshots in a FORCE-WEAVED mode in PowerDVD..and send it to ali@zulm.net or you if you dont see ALI, you can send it to me or anyone else on zulm here..who have FTP accounts here.

This is very crucial... the screenshots HAVE to be taken in a FORCE-WEAVED mode !

Also, would like to know which version of DEVDAS that Eros is releasing on DVD. The version that Eros released on VHS tape is not the same version as the one I saw in the theater (the Eros tape has added scenes like the one of Devdas' father on his deathbed calling for his son and the voiceover narration of Devdas at the end. It also has an extra dialogue scene with Jackie Shroff's character that sounds like it was scored with music from CINEMA PARADISO!). All in all, I prefer the version of DEVDAS that was released in theaters.
