I am going to place an order for this

ChartBusters( New ) from YRF with 40 songs ( $15.99)
http://www.festasy.com/datacar....Id=4959
or
My Kinda Muzik Vol 1 and 2 ( $9.99 each)

What do you think? do you guys think YRF used the new progressive master for this new dvd( atleast for the songs from DTPH and KKHTH)?

Dont know about this new YRF release but I picked up approx 2 wks ago a pirate which has songs from K3G, Mohabbatein, KKHH, DTPH and DDLJ. K3G, Mohabbatein and DDLJ are anamorphic while KKHH and DTPH are just widescreen (old transfers). Pic quality is the exact same as the originals, kewl thing is anamorphic ability similar to when DEI release Mission:Bollywood. DVD was done by Vision who also pirate most of the 2-in-1 DVDs sold at pakwebstore.com.

Songs can be played either all or individual. They have even ripped the song menus from the original DVDs. So if they are animated or have a song playing in the background so does this pirate and I purchased it for $15 Canadian VS $30 Canadian for the original and the only diff is that it has Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai and the songs are mixed up (cant play songs only from one movie)

Thanks legend for the input. My major concern is 40 songs in one dvd rather than splitting in to 2 dvd's like Mission Bollywood.
And also if they did not use the new anamorphic transfer for the DTPH it is no go for me. So I conclude the one you have is copied or pirated from the original YRF dvd.

No it came out before this DVD did approx 1 month ago. It is a SRK - YRF Hits type DVD (forgot exact title), thats why it does not have MYKSH on it. The new YRF disc will probably have DTPH and KKHH in anamorphic.

Except for MYKSH, all other releases were progressive DVDs. All were anamorphic, I think. Also, I think the audio mix was proper DD 5.1 (not false 5.1).
All songs are super hits.

If some one can confirm that the songs in this DVD are like in the original DVD releases, i.e. anamorphic and progressive and true DD 5.1, I will get it for my DVD collection.

Are any of the songs of better quality than the actual dvds?
DDLJ was a really sh*t dvd. Have the songs been remastered to a better quality?

To summarise, what Ganti said in Faroudja thread, about this Songs DVD:

1) Even though movie DVD releases were Progressive, Song DVD is interlaced.

2) Anamorphic pic from movie DVDs is maintained anamorphic in the song DVD as well.

So, I guess, what Ganti is saying is that it is no better than earlier movie DVD releases.

Q: Are DTPH and KKHH songs proper anamorphic as in new releases of these DVDs or are they from from old non-anam releases??

Not in a hundred years. I don't remember seeing a songs dvd better that their movie dvd. Mission Bollywood is the only dvd close to the original movie dvd's.

I believe they are from the new anamorphic master.

Have you seen Main Hoon Amitabh? I do believe the songs in there had been remastered and are of great quality. Although I cannot confirm this, they do look as if they are better than their dvds. Sholay dvd has been whipped but from what i can see from the mehbooba song, it is decent for a movie of its time i.e not that bad.

No, I haven't seen this DVD. But I highly doubt about the re mastered songs by EROS for a songs DVD.
