I'm hoping one of you film experts can name the title of this movie i once saw a while back...it's not a new one.

It had Rishi Kapoor in it. He goes around talking about how his mom gives him 500 rupees and he tries to put it to good use. Along the way he meets a girl who I think he gave the money to (might have been Dimple) and he meets a robber who becomes his good friend (this guy might have been Dharmendra). In the end, his good friend (Dharmendra??) and some other villian try to kill each other with pitchforks and Rishi Kapoor comes in teh way and dies. Throughout the movie he talks about returning to his mom one day, and at the end he confesses that that's exactly where he is going

AGain , the characters I'm not clear on...I'm 95% sure the main guy is Rishi Kapoor , but hell there's a very small chance that I'm wrong on that one too. Still, the plot I remember well, and it is so unique that, if you see the movie, you won't confuse it with any other. Thanks for your help.

the name of the movie is "Ranbhoomi". I don't think Dharmendra was in it. I think you're talking about either Shatrughan Sinha or Jeetendra. They're both enemies and Rishi Kapoor befriends them both. At the end he dies, but making them friends again. The girl he likes is Neelam, not Dimple (but she may be in the film aswell).

I remember not liking the film because Rishi's the most likeable character and he dies!! The other two heroes just came off as jerks (especially Shotgun sinha). It was an average masala film - but the video seemed good at the time (8-9 years ago!!).

The mindless multi-starrer film you are referring to is the 1991 RISHI KAPOOR-JEETENDRA-SHATRUGAN starrer RANBHOOMI. Produced by VIJAY SINHA, directed by DEEPAK SARIN(of AAINA, JAB PYAR KISI SE HOTA HAI ALBELA fame). This was perhaps one of the last action-multistarrers released. The film also starred NEELAM, DIMPLE KAPADIA, and GULSHAN GROVER. Music was by LAXMIKANT-PYARELAL. The fact that the producer only made this one film should tell you how it did at the box office.
