Am I missing something here ??

sknath post indicates he favours prog version even if low bit rate. Why??

Arsh post indicates to favour high bit rates even though interlaced. Why ??

Good work Arsh,
Great revealing screens shots. But from the above screens shots it looks like the interlaced one with high bit rate wins over the progressive one by slight margin.
But the major differences from these small images come from long shots, not from close up shots like the above. So we cannot really make out the difference much from the screen shots.
Believe me even though low bit rate progressive picture looks much better than high bit rate interlaced when watch it on big screen. The interlaced picture does not show the minor details and does not hold up the sharpness as it shows on the small screen.

Yaar, no CONFUSION! here!! Prog is BETTER if it LOOKS BETTER too, not like JUDWAA!!

JUDAII, it is a LONG SHOT...PROG vs INTERLACEd..I told u some will prefer the INTERLACED version..But, I think, PROG is a bit more COLOUR BALANCED!!

Next..I'll send DEEWANA MASTANA to ali, for posting?
Lets see which one u GUYS prefer?

Single layer, prog with LOW BIT RATE or DUAL LAYERED interlaced with HIGH BIT RATE!!? :baaa:

I dont think, they were RETRANSFERED! menues r different, Sound too, sp..DEEWANA MASTANA and KOYLA!
BUT all scratched and blemishes are EXACTLY same as in ORIGINAL VERSION!!

Just for completion sakes – here are shots from the songs on Shakti DVD of Judaai - presented in it's original aspect ratio, non-anamorphic - not sure if the actual DVD from Eros is presented like this though;

What a horrible, horrible, terrible, embarrassing film! Walked out of this one in the cinema. Tasteless humour, the movie pokes fun at mute people heartlessly with childish humour. And if I wanted to watch a hundred gaudily dressed dancers on hilltops, I'd go watch a Telugu or Tamil flick. I know there are great South flicks out there but they are also the original perpetrators of this unfortunate mainstay in all Indian films. Music by terrorist duo Nadeem Shravan lifting shamelessly from Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Pakistani folk tunes.
