Some years ago I bought a CD with Bengali songs by
Salil Chowdhury. It's still one of my favourite Indian
CDs: "Best of Salil Chowdhury", EMI 1993.
cheers

Thanks Bhaskar Dada!!

Already been to few of these sites, they sell to those who have an excess amount of $$.

dvds found in http://www.calcuttaweb.com are authored and sold by http://www.arjoe.com $16.99 - $19.99 (including shipping to North-America). from the sound of it, they are some how related to Super Digital, they too use a beta tape as a master for their dvd. No return policy!

http://www.bdbazar.com - ekhaney tto shob dvd 20 takar upor, bap re baap plus shipping. dhonnobad bhai, but monay hoi na ekhan thekey kichu nebo, not anytime soon. that's for sure!

we can suggest IW, ICD, NEHA and others to start carrying those titles, may be they will be able to get us a better offer. :sus:

Thats what I'm hoping for!!! I e-mailed IW, and they said they'd try to get them. However, there is a ray of hope - I believe Indofilms will be stocking the DVDs of Kalankini Kankabati and Raudrachaya soon, so hopefully others will follow.

There are some VCDs/videos of movie that I want at simindia.com - but $14 for a VCD?!?!?!? (Compared to Rs 280!!)

I found another one - http://www.vistaindia.com

Well, it's not a Bengali store, but it's selling Bengali DVDs for $14.99 - I dunno if anyone in US/Canada wants to try it - but its hard to find information on shipping rates there.

It's related to the Raaga stores - this means nothing to me, but I'm guessing you guys in the US will know something about this.
