There are movies with some really impactful special appearances. Not to be confused with the item stuff added nowadays in every other movie which is kind of really crap!

One that comes quickly to mind is that of Shashi Kapoor in IJAAZAT. Another one that was also pretty nice was Anil Kapoor in SHAKTI (Ramesh Sippy's). Both of those added nicely to the point the film maker was trying to make....

i think, Salman in KKHH and Anil, in MAAN, had pretty big role! same for BIPASHA in MYKSH and APE CHPDA in MDK!

BTW! Rani in K3g was quite an asset!

Recently SANJAY DUTT in Sohail Khan's film, has EXTENDED footage! :baaa:

I don't believe it. How could you both forget the early 70s movie which became a Super Hit because of the special appearance of a super star who was not a super star when he agreed to do the role. This movie, unargueably is the one where the speacial appearance made the biggest impact in the story as well as in pulling the crowds in the theatres.

I am sure I don't need to name the movie. You know it.

If you are talking about ANDAZ and Kakaji's role, sure...I agree it was one of those really cool sp. appearances....did not remember it immediately when I started the thread....

Yes, I was referring to ANDAAZ.

Among other special appearances, Shahrukh Khan in Shakthi has a good special appearance, but I can’t say it is as powerful and as important as of Karisma and Nana. In Andaaz, many considered Rajesh Khanna as the pivotal character of the movie.

How about some inconsequential yet fun appearances of Bachchan :

CHOTI SI BAAT

CHASHME BUDDOOR (with Rekha)

JALWA(simply brilliant....and BTW does anyone know of when its DVD might see the light of day?)

GOL MAAL

and before i forget the nonsensical appearance and disappearance of Mithun Chakraborty in DO ANJAANE (yeah the very same Bachchan starrer!!)

you just cant beat ABs out of nowhere appearence in Walati Babu.. has to be the best :)

Other than that some other decent-ish ones include:

AB in Ghatak
AB in Biwi No 1
AB in Soorma Bhopali
AB in Hero Hiralal
AB in Kunwara Baap
AB in Guddi

BTW where did Sunil Shetty appear in Ek Rishta...

What the hell? How could you have overlooked Sunil Shetty's Special appearance in Ek Rishta? He practically huged AB a few times in his role.

I like Raj Kapoor's S.P. in Boot Polish. Salman Khan had a few great special appearances in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai & Deewana Mastana. Nasseruddin Shah in Ardh Satya & Shah Rukh Khan in Shakti The Power was okay.

I'll definitely say that Juhis appearence in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naan made a definite impact as the film ended on a more positive note.

Apart from that Salman Khan in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

All the actors in the beginning of Naseeb

and Danny Glover in Maverick !!! brilliant

How about the major amount of cameos in 'Guddi'. AB, Ashok Kumar, Vinod Khanna, Pran, Dilip Kumar etc. etc.
