Ok my turn:

The most awaited movie for me is hands down "Hero" - a Mandarin-language adventure film from director Zhang Yimou (Raise the Red Lantern, Shanghai Triad, The Road Home). It will basically be Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon filmed on an even more epic scale. And the cast is absolutele AMAZING: Jet Li, Tony Leung Chiu Wai (In the Mood for Love, Hard Boiled), Maggie Cheung (In the Mood for Love), Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger, Rush Hour 2), and Donnie Yen (Iron Monkey, Blade 2).

And if that doesn't excite you, maybe this will:

and for more news and pictures, you can visit here: http://www.monkeypeaches.com/Hero.html

Ok, aside from that movie, My other two most anticipated movies are of course:

Kaante

and

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (which I feel is the best part of the entire novel)

And other Indian movies I'm looking forward to are:
Saathiya (Vivek and Rani)
Police Force (AB, Akshay, Sunil, Jackie)
LOC

Another one to look out for is "Shaolin Soccer". I went to see "The Tuxedo" the other day(ahem! don't ask) and they showed the trailer of Shaolin Soccer in the sneak peeks and I must say this is one hella of a movie. Its full of hardcore martial arts mixed with special effects...and mind you, this ain't the Jet Li kinda action we talking about. The trailer was totally awesome (and loud) and there is no doubt that this movie will be the Crouching Tiger of this year. Its already out on DVD in hong kong Review Here but the theatrical release in US won't be till April 11, 2003.

Shaolin Soccer is an EXCELLENT movie!! Forget the US release - I've seen it and while it is pretty decent - the aweful dubbing just takes away most of the fun of the movie. Just get the original HK DVD - it has the deleted scenes (edited back into the movie), making ofs, english subtitles, anamorphic transfer and DTS sound. Very top quality DVD. And it's playable in all regions too, NTSC.

You can get the DVD for $80 HK (roughly $10-11 US) from here: http://www.dddhouse.com/cgi-loc....y_id=29

And trust me, that place (DDD House) is the best online store to buy HK DVDs from.
