Avoid Eros DVDs... Recently i learned that Eros DVD prints are crappy along with others. :angry:

Just kidding!! They were crappy all along, Except for the ones that were authored by DEI. :alien:

This thread to alarm those folks who haven't seen an Eros DVD print yet. DONT'

Example: WOH 7 DIN (One of the Recent Release by Eros)

U shouldn't blame EROS, Cuz their DVDs are made either by DEI or B4U....the B4u ones are crap..so u have to say avoid B4U versions, one thing i like about Eros is their covers, they always accurate(not spellings, but pictures). But DEI's covers are disgraceful, have u seen the Nastik cover, the picture of AB is from another movie!! As are their latest ones Geraftaar & Gangaa jamunaa....How hard can it be to make a decent cover, with the right spellings!! Fuckin Stupid!!

News for you my friend B4U has never made DVDS for eros......

B4U IS EROS own entertainment channel....Its there tv channel

so Eros make their DVD's, then let another company(DEI)make the same ones!! WHY?? :wot:

Let me help sort out your confusion. Intially when Indian DVDs first started beiing made, Eros (owner of the rights) used to get its DVDs mastered and manufactureds by DEI. Then a couple of years later Eros and DEI had a parting of ways (probably cheapskate Eros figured it could make the DVDs on its own real cheap) and DEI started manufacturing their own DVDs. This is when the quality of Hindi DVDs went to crap. All this happened around the time the B4U channel, owned by the Eros people, started. Therefore they used the Eros DVDs to market the B4U channel.

On your last statement, 'the Indian DVD system is pure bullocks', I totally agree with you.

By the way did anyone notice that it was around the time of the Eros Dei split that the quality of Video Sound DVDs also became worse. Before that there were quite a few decent Video Sound DVDs. Not all but some eg Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Also most of them used to have a proper 5.1 channel soundtrack. But it seems when they saw if Eros can sell crap and get away with it, they also decided they could do the same.

Isnt that the truth? ???

EROS are just total arse-pieces - i am actually getting really hacked off with all indian dvd companies - i think they r here to make a quick buck - thats it - f*** keeping the customer happy - bastardssssss!!

Take for eg - koi mere dil se pooche - the picture transfer is shit - I think EROS are playing a new game - when u see the trailer on B4U, the pic looks great BUT the same pic will look shit on DVD - I think ALI has pointed this out!!!

Also ALI u said the sound for KMDSP is good - it absolutely pish yaar !!!!

I agree with you on this completely. The sound on Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche at best was just passable. The sound, specially from the rear speakers made it sound as if my speakers were damaged, with squeeky and scratchy (phati hui) sound. Ali bhai how could you overlook this? Aap se ye umeed na thi.

BTW Looking back at the review I said it was 'decent' (maybe wrong choice of word) - with problems mentioned – or did I say it was good someplace else? Sorry if I did, but I will recheck this one.

No big deal Ali bhai, it's just that we take your word for granted and therefore it just came as a surprise. Actually I don't even remember what exactly you had written but I definately got an impression from your review that the sound was pretty decent. Which actually it was, if we compare it to almost all Video Sound and quite a few Eros DVDs.

it could be you have he pirate lookalike eros version which is exactly the same but isnt anomorphic and dosent have a proper 5.1

THE KMDSP DVD I HAVE IS DEFINATLEY THE ORIG - PROPER 5.1 SOUND AND THE REST - WHAT I AM POINTING OUT IS THAT THE SOUND WAS NOT AS GOOD AS ALI HAD SUGGESTED ALSO THE PIC IS POOR - BUT THIS IS TYPICAL EROS - THERE STANDARDS OF DVD ARE GOING DOWNHILL - THE LAST NEAR GOOD DVD THEY DID WAS PYAR ISHQ....
