Hrithik, who has reworked his career plans after a long list of flops, is nowadays not only willing to cut his price tag but is also looking for meaty roles with creative directors. So when Varma sent out feelers to him, he got a positive response. It all led to Varma walking into 'Kavita', Hrithik's home in Juhu, for a long story discussion.

Here is the opposite, the stupid fool Roshan!!!

Hrithik Roshan turns down Ashutosh Gowariker

This happened a few months ago when Ashutosh Gowariker has returned from the US. The mega success of Lagaan just did not allow the director to rest on his heels. He was back, on his desk, busy scripting another film. His target audience this time were the young and the restless because he wrote his story keeping them in mind. And who does our young blood look up to as their idol? Aamir Khan of course! When Gowariker approached Khan for his film, Aamir refused saying that he did not want to limit himself to one director. He wanted to work with other directors and at the same time give them a chance to work with him. Gowariker understood. For a moment he also considered to cast absolute newcomers for his film. Later he realised that it was important to cast an actor who was star material. And who could be better than Roshan junior Hrithik. Ashutosh approached Hrihtik.

Hrithik as we know was going through a rough patch. He wanted to consolidate his position once again in the film industry. And had decided to be extra choosy the films that he agrees to do. Of course when Ashutosh met him, he gracefully accepted the script that the directorr had to offer him. He patiently read it too. When he got a call from Hrithik, Ashutosh was confident about Hrithik's positive reply after all Lagaan, his earlier film was nominated at the Oscars. But Gowariker nearly fainted in disbelief that Hrithik Roshan actually had the gall to turn his film down. As off now Ashutosh Gowariker hasn't approached anybody, maybe he is still reeling under shock. But for Hrithik the only thing we can say is, "vinash kaale viprit buddhi!" (a case of bad timing and wrong thinking) It's high time Hrithik Roshan wake up from his slumber of success!

this role could probably be like the roles he has been doing of late and failing miserably
of course, AG may be would have given HR a hit, may be

He was STUPID for not doing the film, instead he opts to do crap like Mujhse Dosti Karoge, which should be re-titled, Mujh Jaise Stupid Se Dosti Karoge

HR is just a one hit wonder infact personally i enjoyed his first 3 films after that he hasn't had much to offer the same old roles expressions wardrobe etc etc etc....

he has some way to go before he evens makes a dent on the likes of SRK AAMIR KHAN AKSHAY KUMAR/KHANNA SUNIL SHETTY or even the comeback kid SANJAY DUTT

if there is anyone intersting on the horizon who looks promising and maybe not ur typical run of the mill artist then it VIVECK O !!!

he has generated the kind of excitment one had when SRK first came on the scene i think VO is gonna be the one to watch out for !!!

How can I advise, I assume you guys all read the script and knew why Hrithik turned the film down, unfortunately, I didnt read the script. The script must of been so brilliant, why would Hrithik turn it down? This is the same guy who did Lagaan for gods sake. :rolleyes:

In perspective he did become somebody as Rani Mukherjee didnt do the film and will become somebody++ as Hrithik isnt doing the film :)
