SHAH RUKH AND TABU APPEARING TOGETHER!
The pair will be seen in special appearances for Saathiya!

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is getting back into the swing of things in Bollywood after taking a short break from the industry.

Fans of the actor will soon watch him in Shakti, although he’s only appearing in an extended guest appearance. The film stars Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Nana Patekar and also Aishwarya Rai in a song and dance number.

In fact, its not his only guest appearance this year. The popular actor will also be seen in Shaad Ali’s movie Saathiya for a special appearance along with Tabu. The film stars Vivek Oberoi and Rani Mukherjee in the lead roles.

Yeah, they did mention that Sathiya is a remake of Alai Payuthey. Vivek Oberoi and Rani Mukherjee in the main pivotal roles, SRK in Arvind Swami's role, and Tabu in his wife's, apparently...
Anyone know when the movie or the music (by AR Rahman apparently) releases?

I just saw Alai Payuthey -- gotta say that if it's representative of the overall quality of the industry, Bollywood needs a serious kick in the butt! Time for them to start pushing themselves to produce quality films, instead of just stealing them!

I wouldn't say it's representitive of the overall quality of the Tamilian film industry. IMO, Alai Payuthey just happens to be an example of great film-making in that industry. Then again, look at the name behind it, and it should come as no surprise: Mani Rathnam is an absolutely amazing director, and his Hindi efforts were just as great.

BTW, check out Kannathil Muthamital as well. Another excellent film.
