In the UK people like blockbusters charge around £3.50 to rent for a couple of nights, appollo charge at the cheaper £2.50 overnight rental........the same films you can get for £11/12 on pre-orders etc etc so I normally buy rather then rent

I've never rented Indian dvds what do you guys normally pay? if you rent that is or is it the same deal, better off just buying ?

Am I the only one who just buys Indian dvds rather then rent even without having watched the film?

RENTING IS ALWAYS THE CHEAPER OPTION SINCE MOST PEOPLE ONLY WATCH A MOVIE ONCE OR TWICE! DO THE MATH.

I pay $1.50 to $2.00 per 2 day DVD rental depending on where I go. I bought a lot of Indian DVDs when I first got my player mainly because there wasn't much to rent. This is why I have a few discs that I've only watched a few times. Now that zulm is here, if there is a DVD I want to buy, chances are I will find a review of it here. There are many Eros discs I would have purchased, but because of the poor quality, I just rented them.

i never paid a dime for watching a indian movies (vhs or dvd). that's cause i had good contact with grocery store owner and always did favours for them, and in return get to watch whatever i wanted whenever i wanted. :D

Then again, i dont watch much nuisance movies anyway, i like to own decent films and watch them. Recently i've seen "pyaar diwana hota hai" without spending anything and happy that i didn't waste money on it. In the whole movie i liked how they had one of the scene where in hospital rani's choriyans break.

Anyhow back to the topic; yeah renting before buying would be the best idea, and that is what i now follow after buying number is crap dvds(koyla-superdigital; dil diya dard liya-bombino, judaai-videosound, angoor-gvi, etc....).

i get my dvds and videos together 4 $15 cdn a month no limit on how much to take at a time or to rent 4 a month and i can keep them for a week or two so in my opinion i rather rent first then buy.
