Abhimaan has just been passed through the UK censors once again by GVI - possible re-release on DVD?

Unfortunately, for those who dont have the EVP version, well bad luck for you guys.. It would have been a DEI release had it not gone bankrupt !... The only alternatives in the market are the shit BABA version and now the shit-part 2 GVI version as and when it comes out !

I heard from EVP that they will be releasing all their old Hindi titles again. I couldn't get any dates. Maybe if all of you send e-mails they will try to bring them faster.

Apart from Kashmir Ki Kali and Aradhana, all EVP Hindi DVDs were in (progressive) Film mode. They all were excellent, specially ABHIMAAN and DHARAMVEER. Faddy commented once, ABHIMAAN was as good as DEI prints. But lately, EVP has been releasing Telgu DVDs that are in Video mode.

Let's hope, when EVP re-releases their Hindi titles, they keep up to their original standard (Film mode). We should be skeptical as most likely the new releases will have English sub-titles implying new encoding.

Faddy had posted screen shots and perhaps a preview as well some 14 months ago.

Out of the link that ganti provided above:
Arsh grab this DVD and also Dharamveer if you don't have it alreay. These two were EVP's best prints. Aradhana that I have, is video source ( good print though), but it is quite possible that mine is a pirate?? Sawan Ki Ghata is Film source but hue setting is a bit off??

yes, but how is the quality of
Dharam Veer (DV)
Abhimaan (A)
when compared to EVP 's
Barsaat Ki Ek Raat (BKIR)
b/c that dvd was absolutely gorgeous, it was neck-n-neck with DEI 's old film dvd's, or possibly even better!
so if BKIR is rated 10 on the scale of 1-10, 10 being the best
how would you rate DV and A?

I forgot about Barsaat Ki Ek Raat.
EVP's Barsaat Ki Ek Raat, ABHIMAAN and DHARAMVEER are all in the same league (all three will rate 10). Other EVP Hindi titles are not too far behind.

P.S.
If any one locates EVP's KATI PATANG somewhere please let me know.
Did EVP ever release JAI SANTOSHI MAA?? It's songs are in EVP's Songs DVD.
Has any one seen EVP's other Hindi Songs DVD which has DHARMVEER Songs??

Are you sure the EVP disc of Aradhana is interlaced? I stepped through it yesterday to check and it took 24 presses of the next frame button to advance to the next second.

That's a good news.
As I said, I am skeptical if my ARADHANA DVD is genuine EVP or Pirate (there were a few indicators). I do get 30 steps per second in my DVD and you get 24. This implies that my copy is pirate.

So, it is good news that now I will try to get the genuine EVP ARADHANA which is my favourite movie.
