this is from eros homepage

"PIRACY WARNING"
The official DVDs of the films Devdas and Om Jai Jagadish have not yet been released by this company and will only be available once the films have completed their runs in the cinemas.
Consumers are warned that poor quality pirate DVDs of these films are currently on sale with potential buyers been falsely led into believing that they are buying a genuine product.
If you have recently bought a pirate DVD of Devdas or Om Jai Jagadish or know where they are being sold then you should report this matter to the appropriate consumer affairs authorities or local trading standards office.
Please also e-mail us the details of the pirates at mailto:piracy@erosentertainment.com. All information will be treated in the utmost confidence.
Piracy causes severe damage and losses to the Asian film and music industry and is propagated by organised criminals.
Piracy is a crime, don't be a part of it.

so wot exactly are IW and the rest selling? ???

Hmmm, I've been confused about that - I saw OJJ in the cinema, and it had the Eros logo and adverts before the start of the film. I've heard that VS are distributing the movie in US and Eros in the UK - but there was a promo for OJJ on the US release of Humraaz..................

Methinks this is gonna turn out to be a case of conflicting rights - think Badal, when both VS and DEi released a DVD at similar times - the only difference is, instead of getting one good and one bad DVD, this time, we'll get 2 crap ones!!!

Typical muppets! I think Eros will eventually bring out an OJJ DVD but like Bhaskar says it’ll be crap as the VS DVD, so doubt if the message "Piracy is a crime, don't be a part of it" has any bearing on the DVD buying public

It might well be a fact that Video Sound released OJJ but that doesn’t mean they owned rights to the film for DVD release – not saying Eros are in the right or have rights to DVD release either!

well is it not the case like many other films eros has te UK righs and Vide sound has the US righs......I mean come on whats the likeliness of Om jai Jagdish Video sound being a pirate all vashu bhagani films have always been on video sound muppets except for a couple of govinda movies
Pyar kiya to darna kiya
Bade miyan chotte miyan
Biwi no1(Yash raj had the uk cinmea rights remeber)
Tea jadoo chall gaya
Rehan hain tere dil mein
Deewanapan

Well i think the UK right along with Europe are Eros and America righs are with Video sound Like sirf tum, Sooryavansham,Dil kya kare and others whic have had separate UK and US rights.....

How do you explain Tip top releasing Hum hain rahi pyar ke when GVI have the uk rights?

Its all a scam and theyre all in it as deep as the other

Eros crying about ANYTHING isn't going to move me to report piracy. They are the principle reason piracy exists. They make crap DVDs and expect the public to buy them. Yeah, right. They would at least have SOME credibility if they put some effort into their DVDs, quality would rule over everything.

On another note, EROS releases pirates on the side probably anyway to make a quick buck. They can never hold onto their wads long enough. Bharat Shah/SLB probably put their foot down about Devdas releasing and thats why the market is already flooded with Devdas pirates, funny thing is Eros is probably responsible for the pirates, they are dirty no doubt about it. :baaa:

Hey anwar.. do you have any info on this release ? The Tip Top version of Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke ?.. Cos the only version available in the market right now is the pirate released by SKY (Baba Digital - Part 2)....
or are you referring to Haan Maine Bhi Pyar Kiya ?

If it is indeed HHRPK can you give us some more info abt this DVD ? .. Thanks :)

Tip Top DVD of Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke looks like the same repackaged Sky DVD - the cover actually has the Sky and Tip Top logos;
