Kiran (Raveena Tandon) is an educated and modern girl who is in love with Raj (Govinda) a business magnate's son. They like each other and are keen to get married. Kiran's father Bhangari (Kader Khan) is a small time crook and has a big shop in Chor Bazar buying and selling stolen goods. He is very well known Gangster of Chor Bazar. Like a good father he wants his daughter to get married to a bigger gangster than him.

Raj and Kiran are surprised on Bhangari's choice, when he selects Shakti (Shakti Kapoor) a known Goonda who has a number of cases against him and most of the time remains in jail. Inspite of Kiran's objection Bhangari almost decide to accept Shakti as his son-in-law. Raj and Kiran are very much disturbed. Suddenly an idea strikes Kiran. She suggests Raj to pose as the biggest goonda in town and convince her father to get her married to him. Just to get his love Raj against his nature acts as a big goonda and surprisingly in a hilarious scene succeeds in convincing Bhangari who accepts Raj as his would be son-in-law.

Shakti on the other hand becomes furious when he comes to know about this and he kidnaps Kiran with the help of Bhangari's rivals in the crime world who also wants to eliminate Bhangari. In the meanwhile Bhangari comes to know that Raj is actually from a respectable family and not a goonda as he presented himself. This annoyes Bhangari.

Will Raj succeeds in saving Kiran from Shakti clutches?
Will Bhangari's life be saved by Raj from his enemies?
Will he be accepted by Bhangari as his Son-in-Law?

Another movie I think I'm gonna stay away from......

Looks like, it's a situation comedy. I will give it a try. If it also has a few colorful & melodious songs that will make it worthwhile.

i think this film would be a typical govinda comedy .. i think it is made by the same guy who made dulhe raja.. of late most govinda films have been repetitive and not really funny... or maybe people are no longer excited by his films...
prolly worth a watch once....

Let me guess...that synopsis was taken from the back cover of the DVD. Hindi DVD synopses always end in "Will so and so be together? Find out in...(name of film)"

Bhangari (Kadar Khan) is the Goonda No. 1 of chor bazar. His daughter Kiran (Raveena Tandon) is the apple of his eye. He caters to her every demand and whim with a smile. His dream is to get her married to a bigger and better goonda. But daughter dearest has other ideas. She’s in love with Raj (Govinda), a well-to-do businessman. When she hears of her father’s goonda obsession, she cajoles Raj to become the man of her father’s dreams. Raj takes Subramaniyam’s (Johny Lever) help in this matter, but the latter’s advise more often than not leads to misadventures.
Meanwhile the underworld don Shakti (Shakti Kapoor), who’s Bhangari’s choice, goes on a wild goose chase in India and abroad and ends-up getting beaten up several times by courting the wrong girl.

To add a further twist to this dumb charade, Bhangari’s fahter (Kadar Khan in a double role), who’s a former raja of a riyasat up North, lands up unexpectedly, declares the whole goonda business out of bounds, and starts searching for a khandani ladka for her granddaughter.
Shakti obliges everybody by staging a kidnapping which is duly foiled by Raj, leading to the expected happy ending.

Govinda is well and truly in his element here so is Raveena who matches him gesture for gesture and outshines him in the garish costumes department. The rest of the cast too go through the paces more or less adequately.

Harmesh Malhotra has made probably the dumbest film in the history of Hindi cinema. The juvenile jokes are strictly front bench material. Viewers are advised to leave their brains behind to prevent severe brain damage which may result from watching this mindless comedy.
