I agree with you Bhaskar. The list seems to be incomplete.
The most intresting info I found at that site was that Divya was supposed to be paired with Sunil Shetty in MOHRA.

For most complete info, I used to go to the Filmkhoj site, but today I could not get there. I don't know if that great site is still available.

That was something I forgot to mention - I'm not sure if she was paired with Sunil Shetty and then replaced, but a newcomer, Poonam Jhawer played the role of Sunil's wife in Mohra, and Divya Bharti was not in the film.

Rampur Ka Raja - I remember seeing the commercials for this movie a while back. It was the one with cartoons playing along side Divya and Venkatesh in a song. The movie looked good and I wanted to see but I dont think it ever saw the light of day.

Where can we buy unused film clips.
Does any one remember FILM HI FILM where 60% of the footage was unused/ incomplete film clips.

anything like this would be a booty....imagine getting to see Gulzar's DEVDAS' six reels starring Dharam/Hema/Sharmila(?)...i am sure the dialogue of this movie would have been far superior to the current one's.....long ago there was a full feature released i think called CINEMA CINEMA that was also a collection of such clips....

"Cinema Cinema" had clips out of the released films. FILM HI FILM had raw footage from un-released/ incomplete/ canned films and was weaved into a story.

Too bad, neither of these films were a hit. Obviously, this kind of material is perfect for home video and not for the Cinema. Another example of "fit for home video and not for Cinema" is the TV serials Ramayan, Mahabharat, etc. Length of a program or its pace has no impact on it's success for the Home Video format. Recall, hours of extras in DVD films adds to the appeal. Can you imagine any one sitting in a theatre 3 hours for the film and another hour or two for the extras (Sholay may be an exception)?

Correction made for mixed-up names above.

FILM HI FILM (1983) uses clips from incomplete/ un-released films.

CINEMA CINEMA has clips from released films.

SUNEHRI YAADEIN is Filmfare Awards presentation. IT IS A COLLECTOR'S DREAM. You will see young Rafi singing live. Excellent award winning movie clips etc.

Film Hi Film would be interesting to see - although I doubt it would be released on DVD.

One thing I do remember quite clearly is seeing the film magazine Lehren on VHS before cable TV was launched in India. If I'm not mistaken, Lehren was one of the only programmes which showed behind the scenes of movies, and had interviews etc. One of the things I remember seeing is exclusive clips from Khuda Gawah. The clips were of Sanjay Dutt in the role that Nagarjuna eventually did - does anyone know if Lehren still exists?

FILM HI FILM (1983) uses clips from, NEVER TO BE RELEASED, complete/ incomplete films.
(Pran guides newcomers on how to make a movie where he uses clips from shelved movies of Madhubala, Raj Kapoor, Dev, Guru Dutt etc. for teaching purposes)
