chaar din ki maang kar laaye the umr-e-daraaz
do aarzoo me kat gaye , do intezaar me..
----
apne hisse ki zindagi to hum jee chuke (chunnilal)
ab to bas dhadkano ka lihaaz karte hain
kyaa kahen in zamaane vaalon ko
aakhri saans par bhi etraaz karte hain
----
dil ke chhaalon ko koi shaayri kahe to parvaah nahin
takleef to tab hoti hai jab log wah wah wah karte hain
