I dont think this is done from a VHS source, it looks more like copied by a regular video camera from television.

No Chapter Menu!

Missing Song "Preetam Aan Milo"!

This is a movie where subtitle is really what non-indian needs to get all the humour, alas; subtitle is short, incomplete, and plain.. making the movie looks boring, uninteresting.

Which also begs the question isn’t Eros a pirate company? since Eros released the Devdas DVDs going around. Hmmm not only that doesn’t it also 'beg' the question if DEI are a pirate company since Aks pirate was released with a DEI logo – or have you just conveniently forgotten this? In through one ear out the other.

Ali this is news for me... I thought AKS was released under an EROS logo... So you are trying to tell me that, someone has released this DVD putting the name of GVI on it ?

If this were true, then shouldn't Eros, DEI come forth and issue a statement informing the public to not buy these dvds? :baaa:

That’s very convenient :doze:

Yes official DVD was, so was the pirate which also had the DEI logo together with Soven plus numerous others! I’ve had people email me saying they’ve brought certain films on DVD from DEI and quality was totally crap – then releasing DEI hadn’t actually released it (although they might have bullshited about it on numerous occasions that they had, but that’s a different story)

Like I’ve said on other occasions piracy is a dishonest business, they feed of other names and reputations of legitimate companies. Remember the DDLJ DVD that circulated years in advance of the official DVD has the YRF logo on too that don’t make YRF a pirate company. As far as GVI is concerned, all I’ve said in the past is that it’s a legitimate company in the UK that does film/video distribution. What I’m saying is you or for that matter I don’t know which ‘companies’ are pirate and which are not – if such a concept as ‘pirate company’ exists – surely a contradiction of a term.

Keeping things in context to this Angoor DVD – how did you decide GVI was a pirate company? Assuming they did release this DVD - they did a transfer from a poor VHS, so that makes them a ‘pirate company’? I can tell you about many others that have done the same, but that wont make them a pirate or not – just crap quality DVDs. You sensing we’ve covered this ground before? Me too;

http://www.zulm.net/forum/showthread.php?threadid=1695

mrig: indeed they should and used to one time. Both DEI and Eros actively used to list pirate information on their sites. These days they are more into selling any crap DVDs they can lay their hands on than improving or providing any useful information.

folks,

i did watch the entire dvd patiently. honestly, the source doesn't look like from vhs. cause i have video of this movie, and that is atleast 40 times better than this DVD. I really am puzzled as to what did they really use for source.

and why they even chopped off the song completely.

GVI may be legit DVD authors/distrubutors; but since they dont' entertain me, their products is nothing but waste of money.

Ali; If you want the screenshots, you can grab them if you want, i will remove them afterwards, and if you want the title menu, song menu.. let me know..
