VASHU TRIMS 10 MINUTES OF ojj, WHILE HE ADDED IN mkk AFTER FILM CLICKED UNFORTUNATELY!

http://www.indiafm.com/scoop/02/jul/230 ... ndex.shtml

Taking a cue from the unanimous opinion, Vashu Bhagnani deleted 10 minutes from his new film OM JAI JAGADISH on Sunday evening, on the third day of its release. The producer is least perturbed by the not-too-encouraging opening response to the film. “In any case, I wasn't expecting a cent per cent opening,” Vashu tells me, “Family subjects do not take a flying start, but the collections do show a rise if the reports are positive.”

But Vashu does agree that the lacklustre response to BADHAAI HO BADHAAI (Anil Kapoor), KUCH TUM KAHO KUCH HUM KAHEIN (Fardeen Khan) and SHARAARAT (Abhishek Bachchan) did affect the opening to an extent. However, he is confident that the film will stand out gradually, with word of mouth publicity. Let's wait and watch!

 :stupid: :bangbang:

I loved the TITLE of this CRITIC's review:for OJJ?

EVEN THE LORD WON'T BUY THIS HACKNEYED CHANT !!

It's no chant to invoke the blessings of the Lord for the film's success. 'Om Jai Jagadish', which marks Anupam Kher's directorial debut, is just about average stuff. It is a rehash of Raj Khosla's 'Do Raaste', which featured Prem Chopra and Rajesh Khanna, and was made in the seventies.

The film's sole aim seems to be to make the audience cry by hook or by crook. Unfortunately, the attempt is so brazen that the emotion comes off as something synthetic and doesn't touch the heart.

Had the film been directed any other new director, it could have been pardoned. But coming as it does from someone of the calibre of Anupam Kher, it makes for a big letdown.

*****Apun bola tha! Music sun kaar! "anu naen Kher ki Lutiya daboo di" par not anu alone, kher naen bhi apni khatiya khud khadi kaar li! :baaa: :(
