Anyway to find out what the cover looks like? A scan of the cover...This print looks good and would do me good till the original comes out, hopefully from a good company. If its from ERO$, then we all know it will suck!

I have rented this VHS copy which was made from this DVD and it is only 2hrs and 44mins :gob: As per the BBFC site and others it states it is 3hrs. I have not watched all of it yet but rewinding the tape from the end of the movie is how I found this out. Ali or whoever sent in the grabs did you notice what was cut out? There is 15mins of scenes or possibly songs that are cut. I wanted to get this version but not too sure now.

dvd have all songs included, even they log theme music as song, i have seen all the songs 3 times!
i dont know copied vhs? as i dont watch vhs? complete or not!
If u have concerns about film portion, let us know, which part, will confirm from dvd..dude!

The I had to rent the VHS as the DVD was out...but it was made from the same DVD you guys have and gave screen shots from.

What is the length of the DVD? Is it 3hours?

Ok! i got the duration confirmed: 2:47:06, abt 13-15 minute short supposedly, while all songs are there! what is missing? i dont know! as i did not watch the entire film again! :vsneaky:

So, Arsh, how is the sound in this dvd?

I watched this movie on Saturday. It was awesome though I did not cry as I thought I would. The sound in the theater was the worst. Probably only stereo sound from way in the front. Also, the eros B4u plug before the movie started was highly annoying as I started to get a suspicion that I might be watching a dvd presentation as well.

My grocery store rental guy does not have this dvd. He only has the curtain raiser which I rented today. But according to him and other rental places in the city, the dvd is going to be out next week. I take this to mean that the official dvd is going to be out next week!

There bits of small scenes that are cut out...for example if she was running some where you would see her start and then all of a sudden shes there. This is not a part of the movie I am just giving an example.

Sound is decent bro! DD5.1...just okish!
as i have experienced worse in the theatre! in mine it was default dolby surround as DTS disk was not provided! even front diologues were lame, no dynamics, surround inconsistent and jerky..awfull!!!

But 2 songs on curtain raiser has much better sound, more dynamic and surround, u should rent that one, just to listen to the sound! :vsneaky:

Just got the Devdas copy...same as above except with removable subtitles. The subs are not widescreen friendly but are easy to read. They are like DEI subtitles.

This disc has 28 chapter stops as well accessible by hitting next, not through the menu. Cover of the DVD is same in nature but pic is different. $18 Cdn

looks a better version legend dude! as subtitles and chapter selection is available!$18 canadian good price indeed, selling around $14-$16 US so u are better off, try to grab scenes shots simillar to above to see comparison..thnx :vsneaky: mas:

The subtitles are good, unfortunetly not on the songs and sometimes the subs go off the screen from either side. Thats the only downside. Image quality is the same.
