Just bought this soundtrack, dispite already being dissapointed with Gupta only releasing one album instead of the two soundtracks as he promised at the film's launch.

I listen to the songs and felt Anand Raaj Anand has let not only himself down with this weak score but I'm sure has also let some of fans of the expected film down too.

The overly long tracks all reminicist of tunes you have heard before by British-Asians bands or other film composers. The only track on the album I loved was by guest composer Lucky Ali, which was amazing - with the Arabic/Old School hip-hop fusion. He also worte some decent lyrics to accompany the track 'maut' and sung it quite well. Imaging if Gupta had stuck to his original plan of using various top musicians.

Vishal also composes one track "Chhod Na Re" which is poor in scope and not one you reach for the rewind button but Sanjay dutt, who sings in the track is not half bad

For a film shot to the standards of hollywood, Gupta should have chose someone professional for the song score; Could have got someone with better skills and expertise in urban music like Punjabi MC, Ranjit Barot, Shankar-Esshan-Loy, Yuvan Shankar Raja or even his favorite background score composers Salim-Sulaiman!

On the contrary Sunny... 3 tracks in the film are quite good with 2 more on the borderline category

The Rama Re track is quite sleek, followed by the Chhod Re Track ( which reminds you of the Kallu mama track from Satya ! ). The last one happens to be th sad version of Rama Re (Socha Tha)...

The mediocre tracks happen to be the half punjabi-hindi track By Sonu and also Ishq Samandar (whic resembles Mehboob mere from Fiza).. the rest of the tracks can be forgotten... which is why i still say DEVDAS ROCKZ
