According to sources from Ayngaran the next Rahman film soundtrack release after Legend of Bhagat Singh will be Baba.

The film stars Rajinikanth, Manisha Koirala, Nasser, Sayaji Shinde, Amrish Puri, Ashish Vidyarthi & Delhi Ganesh. Baba is directed by Abhay's Suresh Krishna and has a screenplay wirtten by Rajinikant.

The film is highly expected by audiences and critics to do well after international blockbuster hits like Muthu & Padaiyappa, which has put Rajinikant as one of India's most expensive actors, and he is even considered by many in the industry to be numero uno in South Indian Tamil cinema (since Ajith, Kamal Hassan & Vijay has offered nothing but flops for a while)

The soundtrack done in record time in London will be released on July 15th. Word is the film will also be dubbed in other Indian languages including Hindi, but only for within India release.

IMHO Dispite great publicity stunts from the actor (similar to UK boxer Prince Nassem) and decent poster designs of his new get-up I have low expectations from this film as its screenplay will be heavily baised dealing with Rajnikant politics rather then giving audiences a taste of his unqiue and wonderful overly style - I still can't do that sunglasses flick no matter how hard I try!

The soundtrack will be quite southern Indian in its music and I hope it will be similar in style to Rahman's last soundtrack for director's Suresh Kishnaa's Sangaman, which I consider to be Rahman top and most underestimated album's ever.

I hope it's going to be great. People apparently didn't like Parthale Parvasam or Kannathil Muthamital's music. I actually loved both myself, but I'm hoping for something great here.

I'm thinking Baba will be like the other two ARR-Rajnikant soundtracks, Padaiyappa and Muthu. We'll have the mandatory hero worshipping song a la Oruvan Oruvan in Muthu or the title track for Padaiyappa. Since this album was an utter rush job, I don't expect much. Where are the other Tamil Rahman releases like Kadhal Virus?
