This movie was unfortunately, ridiculed by many!?Too soft, u too sweet!
I liked it..It is a pleasure to watch..just for two things..GOOD MUSIC by REhman and Beautiful acting of JUHI CHAWLA, who looks and act deadly gorgeous..Bad luck for couple!!Bad timing...doomed/sank, without a sign..def worth a watch!
I personally thought Juhi's performance was worth an award nomination it self..just pleasant/wholesome, extremely entertaining...plots of film had too many quirks..title did not suit film??

But depend upon timings, a stpid mindless AWARA Paagal works today, and One two Ka Four did not..sad! :baaa: ;) :vangry:

Hey guys,
If u wanna catch another good movie on DVD, here's a recommendation. Rent out "Ittefaq" , starring Rajesh Khanna and Nanda. I recently watched this BR Chopra classic and the movie was just excellent! Here is the sypnosis from the YRF dvd cover:
"Ittefaq means coincidence sometimes life appears to be a string of coincidence unrelated to any logic. This is a coincidence of a man charged for murder fleeing from the law and getting involved in another murder - a murder he did not commit.A lonely night… A comfortable house… a beautiful girl alone. Rekha (Nanda) switches on the ratio and hears that a lunatic murderer has escaped from the mental asylum.
The door bursts open and Dilip Roy (Rajesh Khanna) enters. That is when a chance encounter turns a quiet night in to a nightmare - Rekha is reduced to a prisoner in her own house. Roy had no alternative, but to take refuge in the first house that came his way, since he is on the run from the police. But these few hours in that house become a small world where a larger than life drama takes place from midnight to down.

Ittefaq is a story of just one night, one man, one woman and one big coincidence. "

The DVD also features the premier of the movie ( which by the way was a treat).

Yeah this movie was great. Not a classic by any means but very entertaining. The film had everything... great action, comedy, a bit of romance and a top soundtrack.
The dvd was a huge dissapointment. The picture was passable but not that great and the sound also could have been a lot better. Shah Rukh and Juhi rock as a pair as they have done millions of times before. I love their movies as a couple. The dvd didnt have any extras either so that was also disapointing. SRK has some very good dialogue in this film.

And in recent times this story was adapted to suit modern times by Ram Gopal Verma as 'Kaun'......which unfortunately was not half as good as 'Ittefaq'.

'Ittefaq' was based on a play apparently doing the college circuit in the late 60s.....which is why the setting is distinctly theatrical...all the action takes place indoors, in one room.....

I'm sorry, but you actually liked this movie? I thought it was pure trash! A true defining film that says "what a waste of 3 hours of your life". Nothing about the film had cinematic appeal to me.
