The original Reservoir Dogs is not called "Hong Kong on Fire", it's called "City on Fire" :D And what the hell is "Panama American film"... could anyone tell me that?

Judging strictly from the trailor and the interview, this film just might be the one Hindi Film that my brother will actually like, along with Company, of course. I have no idea what Panama American film is.

Maybe "Panama American" is "Pan-American." I've heard that word before, but I don't know what it means, hehe.

it's clear he doesn't know a lens from a filter...
he's supposed to say PANAVISION.. only the most famous camera-maker(especially in the US)... the other is ARRI.

I cringe everytime I hear of a bollywood-copy-hollywood remake. I mean what's the point, it's not as if bollywood could ever do a better job! We can see the usual suspects 'influence' in the pic.

I mean how many times do we feel let down at India's attempt to copy hollywood? They always mess it up by having some corny diologue! or blatent 'tries' to copy a scene exactly in a Hollywood movie.

Face it guys, the trailer might look good, but when has ever Sanjay Gupta made a good film? Remember Jung...what a joke! This could well be the film that destroys the current western media interest with Bollywood.

I agree. For all the progress films like Lagaan and Monsoon Wedding created, Kaante just might erase it all. The trailors look like a B-grade Hollywood flick, and their effort to make this a crossover film is just plain stupid. How's the mainstream audience going to digest an inferior version of one of their own popular films? If you're going to go mainstream, at least don't copy from a film of that country  . And Sanjay Gupta as the director to represent India in Hollywood is just pathetic. I could be wrong and the film may turn out to be decent, but the chances of that are very slim.
Take my advice, and look forward to films like Devdas, Paanch, and Road :) .

Sanjay Gupta is a trash director, one who is only as good as the rest of bollywood directors at best, not including a very select few ofcourse. Sanjay Gupta has not made a decent film to date and he never will and those who actually expect something good from him are either just fooling themselves or plain simple have no idea what good cinema is. He is a perfect example of that student in class who could not even pass by cheating, because even that requires some intelligence. Case Closed.
