The old review states AR is 2.25:1. Not sure if it's the OAR.
I feel so stabby thinking that they still can't make anamorphic DVDs of old movies. The Eagle release came out, what? A few 2-3 years ago?? Sigh.

Good Observation, Newdeep. Gave me a chance to correct my earlier posting where I calculated run time as 227 min, which is wrong.
I did not notice or even thought that I'm mixing 70mm & 35mm. I used 90 ft per min for calculating run time, but that applies to 35 mm, 24 fps films. For 70 mm films, rate is different.

I'm glad that the Burning Train is available in full (plus some extra footage) on DVD.

Shemaroo Run time is 184.5 min (did not see any 4% speed up)
Moserbaer 177 min (Perhaps it's 4% speed-up, implying a film run time of 184.5 min ??)
1980 Film CC says 6137 meters
70mm film, frame rate most likely 24 (so can make 35 mm prints as well) , Run Time ??
Found this website to calculate run time for various film formats:
http://www.scenesavers.com/content/show ... calculator
Found run time calculator for 65 mm film (70 mm film is 65 for film and 5 mm for audio etc);
Enter 6137 meters (20135 ft), 24 frames per sec,
It calculates run time as 179 min.

Then, the Shemaroo version must be the original complete version (184.5 min) plus some extra footage. :D

About your Q about 8 reels vs run time ?? Don't know what to say. Film can be mounted on various capacity reels. The website I mentioned here does indicate # of reels for the inputted 65mm film length, but it does not collaborate with 8 reels. Obviously, depends on reel capacity. (BTW, for 35 mm films of old time, as a rule of thumb, it's 10 min per reel).

1980 Film CC says 6137 meters, (227 min if 35 mm, but it's 70mm) Corrected as below:

that's wonderful Rana bhaisaab!

And so, the moserbaer/ eagle versions at 177 minutes may or may not be exactly the same as the shemaroo of 185 mins, even with 4% speedup. will have to compare side by side. shemaroo version is also available online at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPC482DzYM0

only thing, shemaroo is cropped on the sides, and so are eagle and moserbaer. venus (link in one of the posts above) is wider, perhaps the same as yrf.

Amazon Prime (India) has the widescreen but shorter runtime version (same as venus).

I got an Eagle DVD. 177 mins runtime (looks like PAL speedup though final coding is NTSC). Same cropping on sides as in shemaroo & moserbaer.

Venus online has wider AR. Does YR also have wider AR?

Any chance you can post some shots with menu?
