I ended up watching this and quite liked it. I can see why some would find it predictable as it seems to be all so familiar in places (i.e. where ever she turns up shes going to get blank impressions of no body remembering her husband which is okay as it's the premise of the movie) and the title "Kahaani" reasoning unfolds very Keyser Söze style but overall I think the movie worked really well. Probably so because of the solid characters which seems lacking in so many movies - two solid male support roles (Khan and Rana) and the highlight show stealer was the geeky-almost-bald cold assassin - he was ace. One of things I've loved most about this film was the way it's set and filmed with the backdrop of Kolkata - there no pretentious false settings here, it seems all very real and very well shot.

Thanks for the recommendations

Ali

With a hectic schedule, I usually don't get a chance to watch a new film now a days. Every now and than, when I do get a chance, I usually pop in an old favourite to indulge myself. Considering today is a Canadian long-weekend, I've been allocated some free time to watch something new, and choosing wisely, I'm very glad I settled for Sujoy Ghosh's new film. Even after many months of it's release, I've attempted to avoid reading any reviews surrounding the film, largely due to it's "mysterious" ending, and after having seen the film, it's very contrived. But the film scores points with Ghosh's fluid direction and (perhaps)the performance of the year by Vidya Balan. Though, her character and motive here is reminisced of her role as "Krishna" in Ishqiya, but Balan pushes herself a notch further in Kahaani. Ultimately, this is a redemption for Sujoy Ghosh, it's easily the best film he's made yet and one hopes he maintains his composure and allow's it to grow.

I liked the film my self, San love angle and dream sequence love affair by police guy.
I could tell film 1/2 way because I thought about it, not that it was giving away. Vidya was as good as it gets and I always look authentic, characters, actors and back drop;)
