'Agent Vinod' Average Opening, 'Kahaani' Extraordinary Week Two

Agent Vinod is the second big release of the year after Agneepath and opened to an average response. The film collected around 50-60% at multiplexes and 30% in single screens and was aided by a holiday in Maharashtra where collections were 60-80%. The reports are mixed and it may find some patronage at multiplexes of big centres but will struggle at B and C centres.

Kahaani had an extraordinary second week with just a 25% drop from week one. The second week collections of the fim were challenging some of the biggies released last year like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Rockstar. SUPER HIT

Paan Singh Tomar was rock steady in week three collecting around 3 crore nett. The three week total is 13 crore nett. SEMI HIT

Imho, Pooh is huge Shani for any one she touches, she screwed rising shahid and now Saif:( Stay away from Stay away from Dark Cloud of love:(

Agent Vinod Falls Heavily In Week Two

Agent Vinod collected around 37 crore nett in week one, The weekend saw average results and collections crashed from Monday onwards and despite no major competition this week, collections were 85-90% on day 8 from its first day. FLOP

Saif and Kareena fail yet again as Agent Vinod flops

With significant drop in collections almost everyday since its release, Agent Vinod has been rejected at the Indian box office.

Breakdown of collections in India:

First weekend – 27.5 crore
First Weekdays – 9.5 crore
Second weekend – 3.25 crore
Total so far – 40.25 crore

Like we predicted early last week, Agent Vinod will not surpass the collections of Kahaani – which is the second biggest grosser of the year after Agneepath. With the release of Housefull 2 this week, the Sriram Raghavan directed film is likely to be out of most theaters.

The film’s failure is a major setback for Saif Ali Khan, whose last success was Love Aaj Kal way back in 2009. It’s also Saif and Kareena’s third flop together after Tashan and Kurbaan.

***UPDATE***

Agent Vinod fell heavily in week two collecting around 6.75 crore nett and taking its two week total to around 43 crore nett. The film has practically finished its business with the release of Housefull 2. FLOP

It is time now for Kareena to fail this agent too:) name of the game.
