I live in Cali, USA. but for misc reason I need a few R-2 DVDs. I can't find any shops online with good shipping rates. I guess I will settle with amazon.co.uk & pay double what it would cost me to purchase an R-1 dvd of the same product..

but my concern is, that amazon.co.uk lists the likes of Khabi Kushi Khabi Gham as R-2, I thought the DVD's released by YRF were region free?

I'm mainly lookin for Lagaan R-2, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (DEI), Pardes(DEI/EROS), Kaho Na Pyar Hai (DEI) & Khabi Kushi Khabi Gham (YRF) that are capable of being played in R-2 DVD Player. are the later 4 region free & capable of playin in R-2 player? (PAL/NTSC).

also if there are cheaper sites that will deliver to US list em here :D

thx for info

Khabi Kushi Khabi Gham is region free regardless of what it says at amazon.co.uk (they tend to assume anything released in the UK is R2). It’s also NTSC and is exactly the same disc as the one on sale in the USA.

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (DEI), Pardes(DEI/EROS) and Kaho Na Pyar Hai (DEI) are all region free NTSC DVDs. They play on most DVD players – more importantly is your TV and if it can handle NTSC.

Lagaan R2 DVD; you can use this price checker to find the best deal;

…some of them ships to the USA.

Thanks guys :)

I'm in USA, so my TV does handle NTSC.

1) I'm in Los Angeles, California
2) They are gifts for people with R-2 Players, & I assume Pal TV.

yeah, that bumhole amazon.co.uk site confused me by statin that it is R-2 DVD. I asumed that it was possible because some of the titles are authored by different companies than the USA ones.

select region 2 and the language you want in the search box.

As someone said earlier Asoka R2 (pal) is a great transfer, I have that DVD and is selling at play.com for £7.99.
