A friend of mine and a distributor in CA area asked me how to revive the dying DVD business. I told him to invent a technology that is superior than digital and the convertion to digital would produce worst result :)

With online streaming taking over the DVD business, I thought ZULM would be dead by now. Are you guys still watching DVDs!?

Dont watch streams, watch DVDrips.. download them from torrent sites. Reason for not buying DVDs is that they are quite expensive, plus not all movies are worth having in the collection. In one year, max 4-5 good movies come out, and you watch them in theatres. However if its great movies like Taare Zameen Par, 3 Idiots etc.. I do buy DVDs.
I do buy CDs quite often (that too after listening online and checking if the songs are worth buying). (new) CDs are relatively cheaper; one can buy 3 CDs for the price of 1 DVD.

Wow-3 different responses. Looks like more and more ppl are moving to streaming and not buying DVDs are the movie themselves are crap.

DVD prices in India have come down so much, not sure why the price here is still above sky.

no streaming or downloading for me

i still buy dvds and even vcd's sometimes if the dvd of the film is not available

i m not moving into BR yet bcoz indian movies are usually just upscaled from DVD to BR (e.g. Eros, YRF, Moserbaer etc), whats the point?

I download the untouched DVD rip from torrent sites and then burn them to a blank DVD to watch. I used to buy alot of indian dvds but most of them have stopped working so i don't buy them anymore. I do have blu rays of Ghajini and Om Shanti Om!
