I'm going to Mumbai and Pune next week. Any advice for sightseeing, attractions?

I'm going to try to check out the National Film Archive in Pune.

What are some good CD/DVD shops in these cities?

Mumbai - Nothing to see here (believe me!). Take the Mumbai darshan bus tour (Rs 150 - 500 depends on the bus) and will get to see entire mumbai. If you like to see historical places, visit South Mumbai, Taj, CST etc. If you want to have good nite life, go to Enigma or any of the lounges in Juhu/Bandra. You may have to find a pair in certain places, but dont try the escorts here. There is a whole blackmailing industry going on.

Avoid beaches, local train, local street food.

Elephanta Caves, Sanjay Gandhi Park (Kanheri Caves) - Closed on Monday. Good to go if you like archeology/caves, though the place is not well maintained.

http://www.nivalink.com - Pick and choose from this site.
See if you can get into some of the concerts/plays. Usually listed in Times Of India/Mumbai Mirror paper.

CD/DVD - Planet M all over Mumbai.

Pune - No idea, but http://www.nivalink.com should give you some idea.

I'm currently in Pune. I've seen some films at the Pune International Film Festival. Got to see Naseeruddin Shah in person, though didn't get to meet him, unfortunately. He was here for the premiere of his new film Barah Aana, which is very good, by the way.

Planet M is in Pune as well. I haven't been there yet, but I did pick up several DVDs at a store called Odyssey. I'll visit Planet M to fill in the gaps.

Is there a good place in Mumbai to get South Indian CDs? I picked up a few Tamil Moserbaer DVDs in Landmark in Pune, and I checked the Planet M at Inorbit Mumbai, which had a very small Tamil selection. I want to get Naan Kadavul and Nandhalala (and maybe a few others) before I leave.

I've bought way too many DVDs on this trip!
