Sounds like a great idea, I'd definately watch it. But I'm not so sure Ajay Devgan would make a good Asoka as he can give a weak performance as he did in Omkara. But I heard RKS was going to make a film with Ajay Devgan on Prithviraj Chauhan, what happened with that?

If this film will focus on the post-kalinga war then it can be seen as a companion (or unofficial sequel) to 2001's Asoka.
India can do well making historical epics because they have a long history that begs to be told. They should really make a film on Chandragupta Maurya.
