Dear All,

I watched the new SRK version of Don, I must say I was disappointed with the remake. I felt that it did not to do justice to the old classic version. I also feel that SRK is no way as good as Amitabh as DON/Vijay. As I am a die hard Amitabh Fan some people may think that I have a biased view towards the new version. But the new film in itself had so many flaws in comparison to the old classic. I also feel that the ending was very stupid.
In a nutshell it is fair to say that the new DON is all style and no substance.

i am also a die hard ab fan, and i absolutely love 1978 don, and agree new don does not come close to the entertainment the 1978 don still provides.
but to call the new don a flawed film would be wrong. sure it's suppose to be a remake but it's not exactly the remake thus it is its own film and a very fine film indeed with every angle carefully thought out, may be b/c i am a die hard farhan akhtar fan, i guess
i rate the 1978 film better b/c it provided a better entertainment for me, it fast paced, great music, gorgeous zeenat, and ofcourse amitabh bachchan
but new don does not have the same entertainment value, it's a different kind of film all to gather, it's dark...like don himself...
so please point out the flaws b/c i have failed to see them so far???
i am thinking hard right now but no flaws, i have bad memory

wait i just remember one of the flaws (assuming there are other major blunders): the song, khaike paan banaras wala does not have any place in new don

Even flawed and blundered I'll prefer 78 Don over 06 any day! No one can sway me to high tech, better production values and sarook langoor over BIG B as Don.
Whatever way you cut it! Old will be the winner in tis case!
