I'm posting it so that you don't make the same mistake if you get a chance to see this concert:

Didn't think much about this show when it was announced, but went solo to check it out. And what a regreat that I didn't take the whole family along, even though concert prices were steep. It was that good, and much more fun than the mega star shows attended by upwards of 20,000.

I did not know all these super hot numbers in the recent have been sung by Shaan and his concert female companion. It sure shows my ignorance about the new sigers, but I don't remember the name. It must have been her who gave her voice to such numbers like

Dhoom Macha Le Dhoom
Chikdum
Dus Bahaane

All of these youngsters favourites.

And, of course Shaan's famous songs are many. His biggest applause went to Fanaa song Chhand Sifarish that sounded even better than in the THX-DD theatre. Subhanallah verse in that song was sung by Shaan himself, instead of Kailash Kher (orig vocalist for Subhanallah verse) and in my opinion, Shaan did a much better job. At the end of the song, there was no way audience will let him sing anything else. He was made to repeat it back to back. Still, not enough, but he calmed the audiece with a promise to repeat again later on (never did).

Plus, a rare or another new thing perhaps ?? He did walk the isles while performing (wireless mike) and shook hands, photographs, dance with audience etc. Wow! what an interaction with the fans/ audience. At other times he encouraged/ allowed kids, teenagers, adults (one group at a time as appropriate for the song) etc to dance in front of the stage and sometimts on the stage with his group.

So, if you get a chance to attend his concert, don't miss it and take your family with you. Kids/ youngsters will enjoy it even more.
And yes, get isle seats as it's easiest to be with him when he walks the isles.

I just wish, I could see this cocert again, this time with family.

the lady who sang dhoom machale was sunditi chauhan and from what i recall i dont think she is coming with him, its another lady, i am surprised that he changed, because when he came with ashwarya and hrithik the duo of him and sajid khan hosting just annoyed me so much, but he sings good, but i didnt like how he performed when he came during that tour, looks like he improved a lot

Yes, it's her who was with the group. I couldn't remember the name as the name is not that common and I was unaware of this name. But, when you named her, I sure recall it was this name they announced a few times. Her name is no where in the promotions, but wow, she has such super hot numbers like Dhoom Macha Le Dhoom, Dus Bahane, Chikdum etc.

Very Pleasant Surprise.

----------

BTW, another super hot number I forgot to mention was:
On The Roof In the Rain.
I'm not sure whether Shaan sung it solo or with Sunditi, in the show.

I was watching Shaan's interview on ATN the other day. The lady who came with him in the Toronto/Ottawa shows is not Sunidhi Chauhan but a singer called Ruchita or Rucha-forget the exact name. She is not the original singer of all the songs you mentioned. Dhoom machale is sung by Sunidhi, Chikdum is sung by Shreya Ghoshal. I think she is an accompanying singer with his band but did a pretty good job.

Btw how was the attendance in Ottawa?

It seems right what you said filmibuff00. Whoever she was, orig singer or just sang those numbers, she did do a pretty good job. Plus, she dressed/ looked very attractive/ glamourous, not like most of our elder generation female singers.

It was house full (ticket prices wee $ 25, 35, 55 most seats, 75, 100, and business sponsorship) and everyone agreed that the show was excellent and well received.

Yup Shaan Rocked Toronto his band was really good too!! Regardless of the fact that the $100 tickets seats were sitting empty the rest of the hall was perhaps 65% filled :) Shaan even noticed and made a remark!

Heres one of the videos I took

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cQRj5BV-XA

A few pics -- Shaan was looking at his watch constantly -- i guess the ppl wanted him out at 11

Wow!, what a job _rb_

Shaan and Sunditi. So, this Sunditi is differtent than the orig singer of Dhoom Machaa Le etc songs ??
BTW, she was more gamourous dressed for Ottawa show. And, Shan was a bit casual but OK Rock Performer dressed; Orange Pant T-Shirt and White Jacket.

Dance girls in the group wore Black SHAAN T-Shirts in some performances. Looks like a great idea to throw these type of memorabilia into the crowd as has been happening these days (but, not in this concert).

---------------------
Any chance, you captured any/ all of these songs on video:
Dhoom Macha Le
On the Roof In The Rain
Chaand Sifarish
Chikdum
Dus Bahaane
Mussu Mussu
