who is going to the rockstars concert? (salman, john, zayed, shahid, kareena, malika sherawat, esha doel)
also if anyone finds any reviews for the show can u post it here
i want to go but i will wait for the reviews since i heard heat really sucked
plus i think everyone including me who went to the temptations show has high hopes for indian shows now since the show was better then most of them, the only indian shows i find memrable was temptations, hearthrobs, the kajol and shah rukh one, and the madhuri concert after hum apke hai kaun

My gf and I went to AC to see Rock Stars on Sat. night. Boy it was nuts. The show didn't even start until 10pm! Whenever they made an announcement, whole groups of people would come forward and try to take the expensive ground seats. Someone announced over the PA that they weren't going to start until people went back to their assigned seats. The stadium was only like 1/8 full, which was a pretty bad turnout. I felt bad for the people with the $350 seats...esp. the VIPs that the promoters brought in. You can see them arguing with ushers who are trying to kick out people who stole their seats. This happened like 3 times! Announcement to start of the show, people stealing seats, then moving back.

When the show started, we were treated to Arya Dance Academy. We always see this stuff on AVS so it was cool to see it live: dance students doing popular numbers like the Ash-Amitabh-Abhishek number from "Bunty Aur Bubli." Then the show began and it's the usual video intro then performance for each of the actors. We had Salman Khan, John Abraham, Zayed Khan, Shahid Kapoor (the young kid who's dating Kareena), Kareena Kapoor, Malika Sherawat, Esha Deol. I think Esha proved to be most impressive with the dance moves and Zayed the worst.

Salman's intro video was hilarious: it was slow mo video of his fans waiting for him...I'm not sure if it was before his arrest or anything. He rips his shirt off and throws it into the crowd. After that ended, he appeared and danced to medleys of his songs blended in with "Billie Jean," Usher's "Yeah" and he even lip synched to Akon's "Mr. Lonely." Too funny. Had a different jacket in every bit.

The worst part was that there was no Stallone, no Kurt Russell, no Goldie Hawn. The ads on AVS promised their appearances...there was even a video clip of Goldie thanking the promoters. I had a feeling that the promoters canceled their appearance due to low turnout or something. When the promoters did their usual 10 min. schpiel on stage and then introed Salman, I was shocked when Salman said something to the effect of "Thanks for breaking me out of jail. I warned (the promoter) about getting into show biz. Look at all the empty seats. We're going to lose a lot of money." Our jaws dropped. Boy was he honest.

All in all it was a decent show...excellent choreography, but bad organization. There were stretches of silence btwn. performers. It seemed like everyone rehearsed separately and then they brought it all together. Horribly annoying MC who kept goading the crowd, who obviously seemed unimpressed. The performers also did numbers that they weren't associated with, like tracks from "Bluffmaster" and "Rang De Basanti." Not much in sketches and no comedians too so the pacing was better. Still way too long though. The thing ended at like 1:30am. Took a bus back to NYC so we got home around 6am. Yikes.

I would however rank this as the worst of the three shows I've seen. Heartthrobs and Temptations from a year or so ago were definitely better than this. I missed out on Heat so I can't comment on that.

Phew! That's a sigh of relief, I thought that kind of backward mentality only happened in our pind over here - must be desi worldwide phenomenon!

this is kind of off topic, but today suniel shetty came to open a fashion store ( the lady who did clothes for jaissi after her transformation) and was taking pics and stuff, he was so nice he spent 5min talking to me and my bro and took like 5 pics with us and gave us autographs, i asked him if he will give out any rockstar tickets/backstage since he did it in america (his company is part of the show or something), he said the promoters down here didnt ask him to but he knows when they are coming and told me the time and day to meet them at the airport, he was a real nice guy, not a show off at all

sorry if its off topic but since sunel shetty is part of rockstars production, i thought i will just add some of the pics, as someone requested them. also i just painted out our faces, so if anyone is woundering what thew heck is that big blop its probly me lol. cool thing is they took a 3min interview of me and they wanted me 2 do corny stuff like say suneil is the best ever and do some getto stuff i was like hell no, it will be on tv, first week of july (hgtv) that home and garden one since they did the store

just came back from the concert, i just saw half of it, and it was just ok, srk temptaions was WWWAAAYYY better, i just saw half because when salman was doing a question thing with people, i told my brother to say that can we get backstage passes for himself, and me, and my mom to take pics, he just laugh and said ya come. my bro just got a pic with salman, since he was in a hurry and i did already get a pic with him when i was young, but john was really nice he talked to me and my bro and my bro and him were having an arm wrestling match, and zayed also talked to us, esha was moody she just signed the autograph and she was only taking one pic with the promoters, so we just poped into that one lol, malika sherawat touched my hand during her bach ke rehna re baba performance, but when i asked her back stage if we can take a pic and autograph she said get lost, then i told her off "you f*en sl*t" and she had a shock kinda face, kareena wasnt takin pics either but i already got her when she came with hrithik. and shahid said "i dont wanna you got that" i was like what the hell i just asked him once and that to nicely

man u should have saw how much make up malika had on its like triple more then esha, but man i still cant belive how thin john is, he looks way more buff in the movies, his body and esp his face looks almost as if it were all streached like watching a movie in anamorphic mode on a 4:3 tv, i wished i had a digital caera when shah rukh and them came, oh well but i dont get what everyone was saying on other sites thats its an excellent show, but it was worth for $40.00 ticket to go backstage, luckily ticketmaster showed us something else and gave us a farther ticket for the same price, so my mom faught with them and they gave us 125.00 tickets instead so we were on the bottom of the stands near the stage,the funny thing was that the dancers dressing room were behined the curtain near the stage, and you can see everything i mean everything while they are changing lol, salman asked my bro why only a quarter of the show is full, my bro was like what you expect who will pay 300 for this crappy show, i was like omg i wish he doesnt kick us out since he was the first actor we met, he just said ya its true i got to have a meeting today with everyone, and seriously after ther show all the stars were called for a meeting incl the promotors, and you can hear them talking abt prices, and everything but then these girls came out of nowhere started screaming and running to the door so everyone was kicked out, but i think john is the nicest for everyone, and now i belive that he loves bikes more then girls he was telling my bro during the arm wrestling match to buy a bike instead of a car you should have saw my mom face lol
