Did any one mention the Grand Mama of them all, "What's Your Raashee" ?? Priyanka Chopra in 12 roles. Not a true Guiness record as there has been 30 roles in the past, but the producers have sumitted, for Guiness record, this film as "most number of roles by a Female".

PS: 'Aap To Aise Na The' seems to have Om Shivpuri in a double role also along with Madan Puri. Can someone confirm?

What I was posting was that Priyanka's role in WYR is being forwarded to Guiness.


Can't find the exact same web page (must have been on indiafm). It mentioned that there were two films in the past that had one actor playing more than 12 roles in one film. Both were played by male actors and hence still there is a chance Guiness accepting Priyanka for the female category. Film with 30 roles by one actor is in the Guiness record presently (1940s film).

Maha Badmaash (1977) has double role of Neetu Singh (Seema and Pinky).

Mehfil (1978) has double role of Sadhna (Shalini and Ratnabai).

Heeralal Pannalal (1999) has double roles of Mithun Chakraborty (Heeralal and Heeralal) and Johny Lever (Pannalal and Pannalal).

Masterjee (1985) has double role of Shakti Kapoor (main villain and an old guy in Adult Learning class).

1. Aaj Ki Taaza Khabar (1973) has been mentioned for Asrani's double role.
Actually, Asrani had not played double role in this movie.
He played role of Amit Desai (friend of hero) who disguises as Champak Bhoomia on his friend's (hero's) request.

2. Guru (1980) has been mentioned for Sridevi's double role.
The year should be 1989 and Guru released in 1989 is Hindi movie.
Sridevi has acted with Mithun in this movie and has played double role of Uma and Roma.
