I hear Anurag Kashyap is one of the best young filmmakers in India. He has written the script for for Yuva and Satya and has directed 2 films, Paanch and Black Friday. These films have got a very high rating on IMDB but where can I find them on DVD? Have they been released? It seems they have only been shown in International film festivals.

A cut VCD version of Black Friday was posted on bwtorrents a while ago, but I don't think Paanch has been released at all yet. Anyone know exactly why the release has been held up?

Astonishingly, I just realized that I own the uncut 161 mintues of Black Friday on a bootleg DVD. It was available at my local Indian DVD store, but the store is now out of copy. The only other place I've seen it was at a Flea Market in Pickering, Ontario. The guy there was selling it for $4-5. I haven't seen it around in any other Indian DVD store in all of Toronto, and I've checked alot of places.

Paanch apparently had a minimal release in India back in July of 2003.
