I hadn't heard of this before.................apologies if this info has already been posted:

Guru is a forthcoming Hindi/English bilingual film to be directed by Mani Ratnam. It stars Abhishek Bachchan with love interests by his side, Aishwarya Rai and Vidya Balan. The movie is also said to star one more leading male antagonist which will be either Vivek Oberoi or John Abraham. The movie will also be dubbed in Tamil and Telugu. The film's score and soundtrack will be composed by A.R. Rahman, an acclaimed composer who has provided music for all of Ratnam's movies since his debut in the film Roja. Cinematography for the movie is handled by Rajiv Menon, who has worked with Mani Ratnam previously as cinematographer in the film Bombay. The movie has been said to be a matured love story. It is set to start shooting sometime in April or May 2006 in Aden and is slated for a November 2006 release. Ratnam is said to start his next project with Aamir Khan after this film.

One thing for sure is Mani Ratnam is one guy who I am quite confident will try his best to make Aishwarya act,.

Mani Ratnam introduced (or inflicted, depending on your viewpoint) Aishwarya Rai in Iruvar. I remember her performance being okay, but then again it was not the conventional heroine role.

UL, that is a fake. The photo of Abhishek is taken from Daboo Ratnani's 2006 calendar.

GURU music hits the stands on 18th November
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Tuesday, November 07, 2006]

Music of GURU was released in a star studded event in Mumbai 2 days back but one would have to wait for another few days before catching hold of the th CDs. This is because these would be made available only on 18th November.

Prior to that 'Guru' mobile downloads will be available though. Music of 'Guru' is much awaited this winter since it brings together the inimitable jodi of Mani Ratnam and A.R. Rahman. With Gulzar's pen doing all the talking, it is touted to be a much engaging score.

'Guru' stars Abhishek Bahchcan, Mithun Chakravarthy, Aishwarya Rai, Madhavan and Vidya Balan in the lead while Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Hariharan, Shreya Ghoshal, Chitra, Madhushree, A R Rahman and Bappi Lahiri have been roped in for singing.
