Synopsis
Shyam Sunder a kind hearted religious man has built a temple by mortgaging his priceless ancestral "Naulakha Haar". He has brought up Kanhayya a happy go lucky young man as his own. Shyam Sunder's granddaughter (Anita) who arrives in the village after completing her studies can't stand the rustic Kanhayya. But the good hearted Kanhayya wins Anita over and she fall in love with him. Shyam Sunder however fixes Anita's marriage with the son of a rich man and he wants to give a handsome dowry including the famous "Naulakha Haar". When the moneylender refuses to oblige, he is forced to present an artificial "Naulakha Haar" to the in-laws of Anita during the betrothal ceremony. When Kanhayya comes to know the dilemma of his foster grandfather, he steals the artificial "haar" and is punished for it. But ultimately Kanhayya is instrumental in exposing the evil intensions of Anita's would-be husband and also saves the honour of his grand father.

From the picture, it seems Roja, and the movie is Raasaiya. Has the Mastana song.Another melody is Kadhal vaanilae - both were big hits at that time.

First song is real good, rest jazzy, Prabhu deva type sound track, but sounds very North Indian..I wonder why Maestro is shy composing for bollywood? :(
