As results of first week collections roll in, in my opinion, No Entry for sure is destined to be a bigger Hit than Veer Zara in terms of Distributor's return on investment.
(I assume, No Entry distributor cost is much less than Veer Zara's.)

But, will it be a bigger grosser than Veer Zara??
Will it be a bigger Hit than Hum Aapke Hain Kaun?? It's almost an impossible task as HAHK was sold just for 5 cr and return on investment was 1000%.

BOX OFFICE UPDATE-3rd September 14.00 IST

The trade is very upbeat with the collections of No Entry. The first week collections are simply enourmous. The two films that have seen better first week collections had over 10 shows a day at many multiplexes and hiked ticket rates which is not the case with No Entry. Both Veer Zaara and Mangal Pandey had big drops in their second week because the shows and ticket rates came down to a normal level. The second week of No Entry is off to a flying start with collections being 80% on its eight day in Mumbai. The films opening was pretty poor but it has ended up with the third best first week figures in history.

Rank Last Week Week Film Prints Weekly Nett Gross IND Rs Print Average Total Nett Gross IND Rs Classification
1 New 1 NO ENTRY* 425 14,47,07,432 3,40,488 14,47,07,432

Note that Veer Zara 1st week net gross was over 17 crore, where as NE net gross is 14.5 cr

No Entry is sustaining well.It looks like being one of those rare films that takes a poor opening yet still manages to cross the 30 crore mark. The film is expected to match Veer Zaara's business in Mumbai and Rajasthan. The producers have declared business of 27.80 crore worldwide in one week.

So, will it or will it not, beat Veer Zara collections??

Sure it has repeated repeat value.
My kids have seen it twice and won't mind going to a theatre to see it again.

I too haven't seen it in good DD theatre yet and hence sure to see it 4th time if it keeps playing in DD theatre, till this weekend, in the area.

No Entry seems to be overtaking VEER ZARA's total collections.

In 4 weeks, it's net gross from India has already crossed Rs 32 cr (Veer Zara total was Rs 41 cr http://www.boxofficeindia.com/00-09.htm ) and a new publicity campaign has started:

Sunil Pal to promote No Entry
By IndiaFM News Bureau, September 28, 2005 - 05:33 IST
Funny man Sunil Pal will now be seen in a new avatar. After winning everyone's hearts with his rip roaring jokes, the talented man will appear on the television promos of No Entry. The promos have been directed by Nikhil Saini and are based on four different characters. Pal will have some funny one-liners. Talking about the movie, which is already a big hit, Pal states that he thought the movie was hilarious. The idea of the promos really appealed to him and he wanted to be a part of it. He will be seen as various characters like Navjot Singh Siddhu, Ratan Noora, Johnny Walker and Dr Sar Phire.

There was no drop in No Entry Indian Box Office collections in week 5 from week 4 (just under 5% actually).

In week # 6 it's #1 in per screen collections.

And after week # 6, http://www.boxofficeindia.com/ is reporting
Quote:

No Entry SUPER HIT. Looks set to cross the business of all films this decade except Gadar Ek Prem Katha and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.

That means overtaking (Yr 2000 till now):
Veer Zaara 41 cr (44.5 cr) -----(In brackets are inflation adjusted #s)
Devdas 36 cr (44.8 cr)
KNPH 34 cr (46.2 cr)
Koi Mil Gaya 44 cr (50.5 cr)

Will it overtake
K3G 49 cr (64 cr)
Gadar 70 cr (91.5 cr)

In week # 7, it's #1 again in total weekly collections, as well as, per screen averages. Plus, 7th week collections are higher than 6th week's.

After week # 7, Boxofficeindia has upgraded it to "Super Duper Hit", predxicting it to overtake even K3G. Only catch is, for now, they are predicting it to cross Rs 50 crore, easily overtaking Veerzara inluding inflation factors but, although Rs 50 crore does overtake K3G actual collections it doesn't beat inflation adjusted ones at Rs 64 crores. It may eve do that eventually.

http://www.boxofficeindia.com/

No Entry 7 The second biggest hit of the decade with its business expected to finish near the 50 crore mark. The weakest circuit Bengal picks up amazingly in the 7th week. The seventh week is slightly better than the sixth week due to the extra prints. Overall SUPER DUPER HIT

--------------------------

Planet Bollywood is calling it "Blockbuster Hit".
