They showed us a trailer of LAGE RAHO MUNNABHAI that had Sunjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi.....so this must be the sequel.

We don't know what character he'll be playing but Shah Rukh will be appearing in the sequel to 'Munnabhai M.B.B.S.', interestingly titled Munnabhai Meets Mahatma Gandhi. The film is of course still very much a comedy, like its predecessor and is in production at this time.

The basic storyline picks up when Murli Prasad Sharma a.k.a Munnabhai (Sanjay Dutt) is arrested and sent to court. He decides to conduct his own defense. For that he needs to study law, so he heads off to law school and just like in the prequel, he creates chaos.

Vidya Balan (Parineeta) will be taking the female role opposite Dutt, as his love interest. Boman Irani plays Dr. J.C. Asthana, while Gracy Singh plays Dr. Suman "Chinky" Asthana Sharma. Also part of the star cast is Arshad Warsi as Circuit. Unfortunatley, Sunil Dutt was supposed to play Shri Hari Prasad Sharma. We haven't heard which actor will be taking his place.

The film has been slotted for a December 25th release. Watch this space for more.
