Well, coinciding with the notion of Rediff's monthly long tribute to Indian Filmmakers ten best Indian films, I've encountered ahead start on Karan Johar's ten best hindi(or Indian?) films. I wonder, beyond Hindi films, do these elitest Bollywood directors watch anything else? Anywho, I got this from another site and it's supposidly from the April issue of Movie Magazine.

1. Kabhi Kabhi - Yash Chopra
2. Hum Aapke Hai Koun - Sooraj R. Bharjatya
3. Lamhe - Yash Chopra
4. Kagaz Ke Phool - Guru Dutt (What :o Karan has the wits to acknowledge Dutt)
5. Guide - Dev Anand
6.Sholay - Ramesh Sippy
7. Dil Chahta Hai - Farhan Aktar
8. Lagaan - Ashutosh Gowariker
9. HDDCS - Sanjay Bhansali
10. DDLJ - Aditya Chopra

Considering he loved Bhansali's Black so much, why did he list the director's least impressive work (the soap-operish HDDCS)?

Anyways, I expected no less from Johar, who is the Ron Howard of Indian cinema. What a hack. He's a spoiled, privileged child who has been given the budget to do whatever he wants, but he knows nothing about film (especially judging from this list). Half the list is made up of titles that don't belong there at all.

Has he seen a Bimal Roy film? Satyajit Ray?

Hum Aapke Hain Kaun? Give me a break!
