I can't wait to see it. I'll be singing along silently in the theater.

A catchy Indian Bollywood tune called "Chaiya Chaiya" seriously energizes the opening and closing credit sequence of Spike Lee's Inside Man (Universal, 3.24), and is one of the best things about it. The cut was previously used for an allegedly decent Indian 1998 film called Dil Se (i.e., From the Heart.) The composer is a guy named A.R. Rahman, the composer for Andrew Lloyd Webber's Bombay Dreams on Broadway (and in London), and currently the composer for the Lord of the Rings musical that's opening (or will soon open) in Toronto.

Alright, full blown singing! I usually have no tolerance for people who sing along in the theater but this just might be the occasion to do it. :)

I like their use of the words 'allegedly decent'. This shows that they have heard that it may be one of the better films from the atrociously bad film Industry in India. They're also probably too ashamed to admit they may have seen one or two Indian films, so they put the blame on the invisible others who thought Dil Se was 'decent'.

I saw INSIDE MAN today. The story and acting was excellent. I didn't expect this from Spike Lee. The Chaiya Chaiya was rocking. 8)

What do you mean? He made good films earlier in his career.

I meant commercial Hollywood heist/thriller type film from him.

I loved how they had Terence Blanchard add some orchestral accompaniment to the track. They kept the essence of it and then added strings, bass guitar, etc. Sounds slamming in the theater.
