SHABNAM (1964)
Anyone remember this 1964 film (Mehmood, Sheikh Mukhtiar) ?? If not, you sure remember its melodious songs that I'm putting in bold: -Hsmin Ala Hya Habbi, Hsmin Ala Hya Habbi -Ye Teri Saadgee, Ye Tera Baankpan (Rafi) -Nigaahon Keeee Ye Jadoogareee (Singer: Is it Lata, Asha, Suman, or ???) -Shabnamn Bhi Dekhi, Shola Bhi Dekha ((Singer: Is it Lata, Asha, Suman, or ???) -Allah Meri Jholi -Teri Nigaahon Pe Mar Mar Gaye Hum (Mukesh) -Anari Hai Shikari Dekho Dillagi (Singers ??)
And Perhaps it's the most famous song of the film but is missing in Super International SHABNAM DVD (song pre-sequence starts but the song is missing): -Yaa Habibee, Yaa Habibee, Maine Rakkha Hai Mohabbat Apne Afsaane Ka Naam, Tum Bhi Kuchh Achha Sa Rakh Do Apne Deewane Ka Naam
Two songs are in color and the film is "Mask Of Zorro" type with some scenes/ sequences of Shammi Kapoor's RajKumar type. And, that's the reason for my enq. RajKumar and Shabnam both were released in 1964. RajKumar was released in Oct 1964 but when in 1964 was Shabnam released ?? DVD CC has a June 1984 date and if the CC was renewed every 10 yrs, then the orig release date must be June 1964 ?? If so, it implies that Shammi Kapoor and 'RajKumar makers' copied Shabnam plot and sequences ??
