Hi all-

A friend is putting together a sampler CD for Christmas and she's doing "Christmas around the world" this year.

Does anyone have any suggestions for tracks of Indian or Bollywood Christmas songs she could include?

sknath and other Song Gurus, where are you??

There definitely are a few songs on X-Mas and Santa in Hindi films. At lest 4 or 5, I recall seeing them in films. Just can't remember the Film names.

Sapnay had Convent background, but I don't think there was any song on X-Mas or Santa. There was a church song though.

Among old films, one of the later films by AVM had a Santa/ X-mas song.

Meharbaan: did it have a Santa song??

Jeetender/ Leena film: did it have a Santa song??

ZAKHMEE has a nice X'massy song, though not explicitly. It is most certainly a song for the Holiday Season......

Aao Tumhe Chaand pe le jaayen, pyaar bhare sapnein sajaayen
Chota sa bangla banayen......

The song has only two Christmas-ish lines at the beginning before the actual song starts:

Jingle Bells Jingle Bells Jingle all the way!
Santa Claus is coming along riding on a slate.

Now try translating this into Hindi? :D

How about 'Raat Christmas Ki Thi' by Asha Bhonsle (Lyrics: Gulzar and Music by R.D. Burman) from the non-film album 'Dil Padosi Hai'???

Anyone heard it?
