Aamir Khan in a Yash Raj Film

Aamir Khan fans have a reason to smile. The reclusive actor who has been off-screen for more than 3 years now has signed his third film after The Rising and Rang De Basanti. And this film is for the Yash Raj banner.

In genuine Yash Raj tradition, the film will be an out-an-out love story to be directed by Kunal Kohli (Mujhse Dosti Karogi, Hum Tum). Aamir will be the solo hero of the film while the lead actress is still to be finalized. Incidentally Aamir was Kunal's first choice for Hum Tum. The film will roll next year after Aamir completes Rakesh Omprakash Mehra's Rang De Basanti. And if everything goes perfectly, Aamir fans can feast on three Aamir Khan films in 2005 after a gap of 3 years.

Incidentally this is not the first time that Aamir is working with Yash Chopra. Yash Chopra had directed Aamir Khan in Parampara (1993). Also Yash Raj Films are distributing Aamir Khan's The Rising.
