Ambica Johar was introduced by her father I S Johar in one of his films, in a leading role. Any one remember, which film it was?? Johar in Bangladesh, Johar in Kashmir or -----??

Edited/ Added:

Found it at Indiafm.com:

JAI BANGLADESH 1971 AMBIKA JOHAR, RAJIV JOHAR, KABERY CHOUDHARY, I S JOHAR, MADHUMALITI, DILIP DUTT I S JOHAR I S JOHAR KALYANJI ANANDJI

At tjhe time of release it was Johar in Bangla Desh.

Kabery Choudhry from BanglaDesh (Refugee from E. Pakistan) had a major role, perhaps more central than Ambica, in the film.

On page 1 I just noticed that Deepti Naval looks very much like Shabana Azmi---don't you think so?

I don't think Shabana Azmi and Deepti Naval look alike at all, certainly not in the pictures on this site! :D

Deepti Naval's career took birth in the era of art films of the 1980s, which Shabana Azmi contributed towards most significantly... Guess they must have done similiar kind of roles at some point or another in their careers...

Talking about them looking alike each other, reminds me of a picture which appeared in the Stardust Annual of 1980 which has Shabana, Smita and Deepti together.... I will scan and post it laterz!! :)

PARESH RAWAL was one of the most emotional "Khusra"/Transvestite ever in Bollywood Cinema... You have to see him in Mahesh Bhatt's TAMANNA as he raises Pooja Bhatt as his own child... Its not often so much sympathy is created for a conventionally 'condemned' character!!

This was my thread about The Top Heroines of Yesteryears.... It heading towards being an encyclopedia of transexuals.... What are you guys like...? LOL
