Keeping within the realms of representing female beauty in Bollywood, here is an extension of the theme - transvestites, transexuals and eunuchs in Bollywood... :D And who to represent them, than Big B himself!

"Mere Angne Mein Tumhara Kya Kaam Hai?"

Pictures to follow... :D

Armaan that doesnt fall in that category.. It was there for just one song.
Paresh Rawal's role or Amrapurkar's role match the descrip[tions..
Even the role I suggested match the crietrion !

Interesting to note that Amitabh has worked with Raakhee in more films than Rekha or Jaya Bhaduri! Although in romantic leads, he has been paired with Raakhee, Rekha and Jaya Bhaduri equally (9 films each).

Parveen Babi was in 12 of his films, although the romantic angle was only in 8 of them! Zeenat Aman and Hema Malini were romantically paired with him in about 6 films each... And then there was, of course, Neetu Singh in many of his films, but romantically paired with him in only 4.

In his latter phase, it was Jaya Prada that was mostly paired with him !

Just found this interesting clip where lead actor not only sang for himself , but also for the heroine, as the female playback singer did not show up for recording.

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/arti ... urpg-2.cms

In 'Half Ticket' (1962), Kishore not only played the main lead, but also sang for himself and for the heroine when the singer earmarked for the female lead didn't show up for the recording.

She looked old when she was young? And when she was old, she looked ....?

LOL- Kishore reminds me of Tiptoe Through the Tulips-Tiny Tim!

Sknath...looks like Rana is ahead of you finding this unusual story! :D

Rita, I think the author of that article is wrong.
The song under consideration is
"Aake seedhi lage dil pe jaise katariya O saanwariya".. with Pran
, where Pran is giving chase to KK and KK dresses up as a woman and Pran tries to woo her. So KK sings for both Pran and himself.
Salil Chowdhury (the music director of that film) has gone on record saying that KK suggested it as a joke and then he (salil chowdhury) went ahead with the idea as he liked it. I dunno if a female singer was ever involved with that song

In fact, half pants by a hero was considered childish (until of cos Shakti Kapoor et al., revived it in the last 80's early 90's)..
In Half ticket KK not only dressed in drag, he also dressed up as a high school kid (in that song, Cheel cheel chillake kajri sunaye)...

I've been following this thread for quite some time now, and I must say, it's a very interesting thread. Heck, I'm discovering some faces I never knew existed.

Thanks to those that are enjoying the thread! I never thought it was going to generate so much interest and for so long :D

Rita, I think you are being a bit harsh to our beloved RAAKHEE :D Perfect heroine to play Freddy Kreugar of Nightmare on Elm Street without the make-up, you said? If for nothing else, you must have appreicated her in Yash Chopra's classic KABHI KABHIE. The role was written for her I read somewhere as was the poem by Sahir Ludhianvi! She was also good as the mother in Akshay Kumar's debut film SAUGANDH and in the reincarnation classic KARAN ARJUN :D
