I'm quite disappointed but it seems as though Yuva is not going to be getting a theatre release here in Toronto.

I suspect, but am not positive, that it has something to do with Net Effect. The DVD for this film has gone to them, and they also did the DVD for Ek Hasina Thi, which actually didn't get a movie release in TO either until much much later.

Any TO zulmies heard otherwise? Albion and Woodside have not heard of this film either....tried contacting them but they played dumb about it

Can't say if it's a good news or bad news.

Good if it's released in main stream theatres like Square One.
Bad news if it screens neither at Albion-Woodside nor elsewhere.

If this film doesn't release in Toronto theatres, that'll prove it that Theatres don't know the potential of Indian Films.

True, but usually it only releases at square one if its distributed by Eros. I'm still hopeful for it though, in some shape or form

hi all this is very important... I must see both the hindi and tamil versions this weekend.

Would anyone please confirm if the Tamil version is screening at Woodside, Albion or anywhere else in Toronto this coming weekend (may 21)?? What are the showtimes and do u have any phone numbers i can contact?

As for Yuva, if its not screening at all in Toronto, does anyone know if its screening in Ottawa or even Montreal? Do you know of any confirmed showtimes or any phone numbers i can call?

Thank you. I'm even willing to drive up to Montreal on Monday to see Yuva, so if you know of any info, any help would definately be appreciated!!

Thanks in advance.

Arsh bhai, the tamil DTS release will atleast take 2-3 months to arrive on DVD. Can YOU wait that long?? I certainly can't!!

I'm not sure if Tamil version of Yuva is releasing the same day.

Tamil films are shown in Toronto regularly, but am not sure where the info is available. Sure, it's avail in the Tamil close knit community.

Recently when I was watching one film at Woodside, Tamil film was also screening simultaneously and was not listed on Albion-Woodside site.
http://www.albioncinemas.com/
ALBION:
Tel: (416)742-1765
InfoLine: (416)742-34566 (Recording)
WOODSIDE:
Tel: (416)299-1045
InfoLine: (416)299-3456 (Recording)

I did pick up a flyer for Tamil films, though. It has two ph #s
Hotline: 416-703-8064
Voice: 416-289-3154
-------------------

BTW, I can't believe Hindi Yuva will not screen in a theatre in Toronto. I registered for Albion-Woodside news letter and usually get coming week's schedule 2 days before it goes on their site. Most likely Tomorrow or day after tomorrow I will receive their schedule for the coming week.

I'll check Ottawa Tamil contacts if they are showing any Tamil film this weekend. Usually it's shown in Ottawa in later weeks.

Rana

BTW, One big advantage of watching Tamil films in Ottawa is that Tamil films are usually DTS and the theatre affordably rentable has excellent (second to none) DTS sound and of course large screen, not over large, just right. I think screen is 25 ft x 50 ft.

thanks theon!!

Oh man I wish both versions are playing in TO or surrounding areas... I'm actually going hyper over these two movies - I simply cannot wait!!

I hope that 7 pm screening is correct. Is that movie theatre open during the daytime? I get off work early on thursday and I'm thinking about swinging by the theatre around 3-4 pm. If they have AYUDHA EZHUTZU playing there, I will definately see the 7 pm show!!
