***image:1:left*** Mumbai, May 17 (IANS) Distributors and exhibitors all over the country seem to have been thrown off-guard by the cyclone of releases lined up for June and July.

Virtually every producer with a ready release wanted to bring forward his film to the summer holiday months. But the problem is, there aren't enough theatres.

Right after Boney Kapoor's "Run" and debutant Ahmed Khan's "Lakeer" this Friday, Mani Ratnam's prestigious multi-starrer "Yuva" competes with the Rajshris' teenaged love story "Oof Kya Jaadoo Mohabbat Hai!" May 21 for viewers' attentions.

Gaurang Doshi, who was earlier scheduled to release his whopping war drama "Deewaar" along with Yashraj Films' Saif Ali Khan-Rani Mukherjee romance "Hum Tum" May 28, decided to move his film forward by a week to June 4.

But now, keeping in mind the sure-shot opening of Feroz Nadiadwala's huge cops movie "Aan: Men At Work" June 4, Doshi has decided to move his film to the end of June.

"What's the point getting into this bottlenecked situation? I'd rather go to the last week of June and get two clear weeks before any big release."

With this strategy in mind, Doshi has requested Boney Kapoor to change the release date of his Amitabh Bachchan-Vivek Oberoi-Aishwarya Rai-starrer "Kyun Ho Gaya Na".

But will Boney Kapoor oblige? After "Run", he has "Bewafaa" and "Kyun Ho Gaya Na" on hand.

June seems specially chock-a-block, with prestigious star-studded releases.

Right after Madhur Bhandarkar's "Aan" June 4, featuring Shatrughan Sinha, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon and Lara Dutta, it's Govind Nihalani's taut drama about cops and communal riots "Dev" June 11, with Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor and Fardeen Khan.

June 18 is reserved for Farhan Akhtar's eagerly awaited war drama "Laskhya", Hrithik Roshan's only film this year, followed by "Deewar" June 25 and Boney Kapoor's "Kyun Ho Gaya Na" on July 2 or July 9.

AB, then AB, then AB, and then again AB, in 2 months 6 martaba!! AB!! :bangbang: :nopity:
